FFengqingyundandeshushuThe hotel's hygiene is excellent, and the rooms are quite spacious, making it very family-friendly. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, and the main issue is that parking isn't free at the hotel's own lot. You have to park about a ten-minute walk away (though there's a hotel shuttle service). This is quite inconvenient when the weather is hot. Also, you absolutely cannot check in before 4:00 PM, so be aware of that if you're planning to go. The staff can come across as cold, lacking the usual warmth you'd expect from a theme park hotel. On the positive side, the park was not crowded, so there were hardly any queues, which made the kids happy, though the adults found it a bit boring 😌

AAnonymous UserThis was my second visit. Located between Gyeongpo Lake and the sea, the view here is definitely the best in the vicinity. The room condition is also good, and being able to enjoy swimming, fitness, and bathing all within the hotel is a great advantage. However, the service always seems to fall short of these excellent facilities, which is a pity. The lobby staff are generally all friendly. But the service from the ancillary facility staff was disappointing. I used the swimming pool and sauna, and the customer service was a bit lacking. Especially considering the considerable extra charges for using them… The hotel might be 4 or 5-star, but the customer service felt more like a late-night convenience store.

There was heating in the room, Netflix, amenities for comfortable stay.
As I saw, there is a free breakfast in the morning for the guests (except Mondays), so I couldn’t try it but I was absolutely satisfied with the room.

AAnonymous UserI've traveled to Gangwon-do many times, but this was my first time staying in Gangneung... I chose Hound Hotel because of the excellent reviews.
It was a great choice. The staff, including the manager, were very friendly. We had a twin terrace room with a direct sea view, and I especially liked how clean the bedding felt. The hotel is right in front of the beach, perfect for a stroll, and the terrace even has a bench. Among hotels in Gangneung, it offers great value for money. The breakfast was also very good for the price; it consisted of only worthwhile dishes, and they tasted excellent.
The hotel's interior, both in the rooms and the lobby, is beautifully designed.
We thought we'd have to drive to a restaurant for dinner, so we just had simple convenience store sandwiches. However, we later found out there's a ramen restaurant nearby before getting to the hotel. If I stay in Gangneung again, I'd definitely like to go back.

JJiaoshageliThis hotel offers breathtaking views! My previous disappointment of missing the sunrise over the sea at Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung was completely remedied here in Jeongdongjin. If the season prevents you from catching the sunrise from your room's balcony, a short walk to Sunrise Park will bring you face-to-face with the vast, boundless ocean, where the sunrise is truly awe-inspiring.
The hotel itself is a unique attraction with excellent and extensive facilities, making it perfect for families with children to relax and enjoy a leisurely vacation. There's a restaurant on-site where you can book a scenic table in advance. For guests craving local cuisine, taxis are available to take you to restaurants down the hill.
The room is exceptionally well-maintained, and the bedding is very clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom area has sunken steps, which guests unfamiliar with the room layout or with impaired vision could easily trip over. I suggest adding a friendly reminder sign to alert guests about the steps and ensure their safety during their stay.

GGuest UserI had a very comfortable stay for three nights in Gangneung, thanks to how clean and well-maintained the accommodation was.
The breakfast was fairly simple, but more than enough to start the day, and I especially appreciated the sense of space, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable.
Getting around was easy whether by bus or taxi, and the location made it convenient to visit nearby attractions like Ojukheon and Jungang Market. For those travelling by car, the spacious parking area is definitely a big plus.
There’s also a lovely pine forest path just behind the property, perfect for a quiet stroll. The ocean view from the room really added to the holiday atmosphere, and being able to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset was one of the highlights of staying at Shilla Monogram.

YyhdumThe location is a bit out of the way, quite far from the beach. Some details in the room's cleanliness weren't great; for example, the door leading to the bathroom was surprisingly dusty... The only impressive amenity was a self-contained dryer, but it could only hang 3 items at a time. Simple breakfast is offered in the morning, including rice, side dishes, and seaweed soup. You can fry your own eggs, and there's also a machine where you can buy instant noodles, but it doesn't accept cash or Visa.

GGuest UserNice place to stay. Very close to Mona Yongpyong Ski Resort. Nice view. Ample parking space. Spacious Room. Ondol room can fit 6 people. Kitchenette provided for cooking. There was an issue with our toilet where the toilet bowl is clogged. When we contact the front desk, they promptly send a staff to fix the toilet. Everything is perfect and we enjoy our stay at Tower Condominium.

GGuest UserA lovely stay in a well equipped hotel with a lovely view. Helpful staff. Rasy to find and really close to a bus stop that has buses into the national park. Only issue was the poor breakfast if you wanted a continental option. Nothing like the photographs. So definitely stay here but maybe give the breakfast a Miss.
