We were truly impressed by our stay. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very well taken care of. The view was absolutely breathtaking — the bridge view was stunning both day and night. The room was spotless and very comfortable. If we ever have the chance to return, this will definitely be our first choice again.

The B&B room was clean, tidy, and odor-free. The proprietress was generous and welcoming, and there was a handsome guy who helped with luggage transfer. The night view was beautiful, and the people were even more so; Fenghuang Ancient City under the lights was exceptionally charming. In the morning, the Tuojiang River was misty, birds were singing, and after a stroll along the river and a moment of remembrance at Shen Congwen's tomb, reading his 'Border Town' brought a sense of his romance, leaving no worries in my heart.

I chose Mingyue Panoramic Homestay for my trip to Fenghuang Ancient Town, and it was absolutely the right choice! The homestay is located high up, offering a 270-degree panoramic view of the entire ancient town from the balcony or courtyard. At night, when all the lights come on, the reflections on the Tuojiang River are incredibly beautiful – every photo taken is a masterpiece. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and the housekeeping was very thorough. The owner was super friendly and helpful, sending us the location in advance and even recommending some local favorite restaurants. If you're coming to Fenghuang and want to see panoramic night views, staying here is definitely the way to go!

We loved that the rooms have outdoor terraces overlooking the river area, which adds incredible value. Furthermore, the possibility of watching an evening show from nearby was a wonderful touch. The reception service was excellent: they were very attentive and helped us with everything we needed, making our stay very comfortable. As for the room, while it wasn't very large and the hotel feels somewhat older compared to other hotels in China where we've stayed, it has a very welcoming and charming atmosphere that more than makes up for this. It feels very authentic. Point to consider: It's important to know that the hotel does not have an elevator. Conclusion: A highly recommended hotel for those looking for a charming place with unbeatable views and very personalized service, always keeping in mind that it's a property with a rich history.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the service is excellent. We stayed for two nights. The location is great, not far from the ancient city. It's an easy walk to Hongqiao, the North Gate Pier, and Shen Congwen's Former Residence, making it convenient for visiting all the main attractions. It's quiet yet convenient, and there's a local market nearby where you can find delicious cured meat and kiwi fruit. Plus, there's a large parking lot right in front of the hotel, which is very friendly for those traveling by car.

We had such a great stay here! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had such a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly sweet and kind, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Even with the language barrier, they made everything easy and were always available when we had questions. The location is also super convenient, especially being close to the railway station, and they even helped us get taxis which made things so much smoother. Right outside the hotel, there were also so many local restaurants with really delicious food, which made it even better. Our balcony view honestly felt like something out of a movie right by the river with performances happening and lots of cute little shops around. We felt really welcomed the whole time and would definitely stay here again!

The noodles the breakfast lady made were really good too. They had the AC on for us before we arrived, which was a lifesaver for us northerners who get cold easily, and it worked perfectly. The facilities were complete, and the bedding was super comfy. The service was absolutely impeccable!

The mountains are still as serene as ever, truly embodying the misty Fenghuang. This is my third stay here, but honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. The balconies of the other, larger treehouses were spotless, but mine was covered in fallen tree fruit. It's very humid on the mountain in March, and Hunan has had a month of rain. I expected the air conditioning to be turned on in advance, but I only found a damp bed. Before, staff would contact me ahead of time, and the AC would already be running when I arrived. Not this time – no prior contact, no dehumidification beforehand. Maybe it's because I came during the off-season, and the room rate was very low. My husband loves treehouses, but this time, as we left, he told me that there are hotels like All Seasons and Wyndham downstream. While he enjoys the mountain environment, he really wants to sleep in a dry bed.

The entire experience here truly shows the owner's thoughtful dedication. The room was clean and tidy, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right by the river. Being centrally located, it's super convenient for sightseeing. They offer a diverse breakfast in the morning, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a lovely high tea by the riverside, just sitting and taking in the view. Downstairs, there's a cozy bar that offers a unique 'day coffee, night drinks' experience, which I absolutely loved. You can leisurely sip coffee during the day and unwind with a drink in the evening, all while enjoying the river view – it's incredibly relaxing. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough, taking care of every little detail. It’s a one-stop-shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment, offering great value for money. Staying here for my trip to Fenghuang was perfect, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back!
