Had the good fortune of stumbling across Martinborough on my way to Wellington. It's a quaint place with a variety of well appointed cabins with gas fireplaces and spa baths just outside the cute village of cafes, shops and wineries. Their team is kind and hardworking. 💯
Bring your own food since you'll have a kitchenette and food can be limited during the day since most places don't open until evening or the weekends for tourists. Also, recommend driving since it's both expensive and challenging to get around outside of the limited free shuttle. Bikes are available to rent for $40NZD 🤑🤑

The hotel is in a great location, on Cuba Street, a food street with many restaurants that can be changed every day. In addition, it is located in the downtown area and is close to various scenic spots, which can be reached in about 10-15 minutes on foot. It is also very convenient to take an Uber, and you can reach the scenic spots in a few minutes. The room is quite large, and the single bed in the twin room is also 1.35 meters wide, which is very spacious for sleeping with children. The carpet is also relatively new and feels very clean. It is the first choice for family travel. The front desk service is also very good, and there are Chinese-speaking employees. I will definitely stay in this hotel again when I come to Wellington next time.

Overall is great, but still feel the whole hotel a little old, and one point: we asked the receptionist for shaver and toothbrush, he said all in the room, but actually there’s nothing. We need to phone service team for several times ( we only asked one thing first cause we believed there are everything except that one, then we found others were not there……), really inconvenient.
The food is great, and the guy there is very friendly!

The breakfast is good. The bread, fruit and juice are all great. The room is more business-like. There is a slope at the entrance, but the view is good.
The bakery around in the early morning is very high-end for office workers.

The hotel front desk service is professional and polite. I met a Chinese waiter who enthusiastically introduced the route. There is a free chocolate party every afternoon and rich content in the morning, which is very convenient for guests staying in the hotel.

The room is very tidy and big, even there is no parking available but the staff showed me a free space along the road to park overnight.
There is even washing machine which surprised me and it was working well.
The breakfast is good but price is 35 nzd not 19 mentioned in the trip site. I booked the room reading others' comment about the breakfast but to be honest the types of food is not so much and didnt meet my expectations.

The lift & room was just a little bit older around the edges, but still very good! The bed was heavenly-soft & lovely, we just wish we'd had time to rest & relax more than one night in Wellington!

GGuest UserHad a great visit to Wellington. Enjoyed the hotel and the service was excellent. As with most Hotels we have stayed at recently they are a bit dated. Room was very clean, room service was good and the bathroom was excellent and looked to have been renovated in recent years. All in all very happy with our stay.

YYaatoh;)I wanted to stay somewhere close to public transport. The main train station is just a stone’s throw away. It is near the end of Lambton Quay- the main drag in Wellington. Also for my friends who live in the outer suburbs of Wellington this hotel is close to the freeway and an easy access to collect me.
The room is really clean and spacious and there is a kitchenette with stove and microwave to heat up/cook food.
The bathroom is huge and has an accessible shower which is quite impressive.

MM526775****The room is located in a renovated old street, with a very bold use of color. It's the most 'Cuban-colored' hotel on Cuban Street. Very distinctive. All the toiletries are New Zealand's Antipodes brand, known for being fragrance-free, dye-free, and natural. The breakfast juice is also from the New Zealand national juice brand, Home... It's great overall. I'll definitely come again. It's great for photos. Each floor has a different color scheme. The room might not have been occupied for a while, as the cups and hairdryer were a bit dusty. However, for this price point, it's totally acceptable. No complaints.

GGuest UserI love this place! The beds are very comfy, and the bathroom is very spacious and clean. It’s great that the hotel can arrange parking for you at Wilson Car Park, which is just beside the hotel this makes everything so much more convenient.
The location is within walking distance of most tourist destinations such as Cuba Street, Willis Lane, the Waterfront, Beehive,Wellington cable car,and Te Papa Museum so u dont need much driving around the town just to explore as u can do all of it by just walking from the hotel.
It’s also close to many restaurants and convenience stores.
The staff are amazing and very helpful! I also love the Nespresso machine in the room. I will definitely come back and book here again next time!

GGuest UserMy daughter and I stayed for four nights during our five-day trip to Wellington, and the hotel met all my expectations. First, its central location is incredibly convenient, right across from the Old Bank. There's a bus stop downstairs, making it easy to get to the airport and train station, and most attractions are within walking distance. Second, it was clean, spacious, and quiet. Being on the 21st floor, the air and sunlight were lovely, and we slept very well. Third, the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and basic tableware, allowing us to prepare simple meals. All in all, I highly recommend it.
