Car Seat 101: Rear-Facing Car Seats (In Person)
class taught by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians/ Instructors, where you’ll gain essential knowledge and skills to prioritize your child’s safety on the road. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, we aim to enhance your familiarity and confidence in handling and using your car seat effectively. This class consists of a group lecture and in-vehicle sessions, conducted at our classroom space in Menlo Park. In the lecture, you’ll learn about proper car seat installation, child harnessing techniques, and child passenger safety laws and best practices. During the in-vehicle session, our instructors will guide you in applying the knowledge and skills you learned in the lecture to ensure your car seat is properly installed.
Class Length

3 hours
**Scheduling Note: Car Seat 101 is divided into two parts. The first section consists of group education, while the remaining time is allocated for in-vehicle installations. The entire class will last 3 hours long.
Class Fee:
$100 per couple
**Each registration allows for a maximum of 1 car and 2 car seats to be checked. If you have an additional car seat and car you would like to have checked, please email us after registration.

Materials You Must Bring to Class:
Car seats are required for this class. During registration, please provide the make and model of your car seat and the make, model, and year of your vehicle. This information is essential for proper car seat installation. Your registration will be canceled if it is not provided.
Your car seat manual and your vehicle owner's manual. Prior to the class, please review the Child Restraint sections in both these manuals.
*We will provide a doll for families to practice harnessing with.
When to take this class:
We recommend taking this class approximately 4 - 6 weeks before your due date.
