"Tuo Ling Legend" Show Xi'an Huaxia Cultural Tourism Grand Theater, as the iconic building of the Huaxia Cultural Tourism Xi'an Resort project, is designed as a large ellipsoidal structure measuring 142 meters long, 128 meters wide, and approximately 50 meters high, capable of accommodating 3,000 people simultaneously. The "Tuo Ling Legend" Show has become an outstanding representative of China's presence under the global performance spotlight, serving as a shining example of the high artistic and scientific standards in the world entertainment industry. The mobile live performance "Tuo Ling Legend" Show, conceived and directed by Xia Chunting, Chairman of Huaxia Cultural Tourism Group, takes the Belt and Road Initiative as its central theme. It delves into Tang Dynasty traditions, tracing the ancient Silk Road caravan routes to showcase Xi'an's glorious historical legacy through positive storytelling. The show consists of six acts: "Farewell Journey," "Wolf Attack Peril," "Exotic Encounters," "Divine Rain Cleansing," "Hero's Homecoming," and "Golden Age of China." Designed to be visually stunning, musically captivating, and thoroughly entertaining, it follows newlyweds separated by the husband's westward caravan journey—surviving volcanoes, avalanches, sandstorms, deserts, and wolf ambushes. Upon returning with goods, the caravan witnesses miracles at Bamyan before reuniting with loved ones in Chang'an. With 47 patented technologies, 20 camels, and 30 wolves performing daring stunts, the show immerses audiences in thrilling desert adventures, the mystical chime of Silk Road camel bells, vibrant foreign cultures, and the splendor of Tang Dynasty glory—a resounding echo of China's millennia-old heritage. Act 1: A Thousand-Mile Farewell The old wharf of Guangyuntan connects Rome to the west and the Three Rivers to the east, serving as an indelible snapshot of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Embarking on the Silk Road from here became a fervent pursuit for the courageous men of Tang. Despite the hardships faced by camel drivers along the way, they pressed forward with unwavering determination. Fortunes were made, and dreams realized, as many amassed great wealth, while others left their bones forever on the Silk Road—sacrifices that brought prosperity to their homeland and glory to the Tang Empire. The road was long, hearts were heavy, and farewell tears soaked their robes. Though one may accompany a traveler a thousand miles, parting is inevitable. Here lies the essence of Tang's farewell sentiments. Act Two: Peril on Wolf Pass The Western Regions boast a myriad of breathtaking landscapes, with the Silk Road offering endless wonders along the way. As a crucial passage of the Silk Road, the Western Regions are painted with a mystical charm by the witty tales of Afanti, yet the treacherous "Wolf's Path" remains an unavoidable trial for camel caravans. Undaunted by danger, the caravan workers pressed forward against all odds—battling wolves for passage and defying fate itself—a sight so moving even monkeys would shed tears. Overcoming countless challenges, from volcanic eruptions and avalanches to bandits and the deadly desert, the caravans left behind legendary tales of perseverance for future generations. Act 3: Exotic Charm The camel caravan finally arrived in the prosperous ancient Rome after enduring countless hardships. Many other caravans had already gathered in the streets, where the bustling market was filled with dazzling arrays of silk, porcelain, and various goods. Elegantly dressed Roman maidens captivated the camel drivers with their graceful dances, leading them to an open-air stage. There, the drivers showcased their masterful Chinese martial arts and acrobatics alongside the extraordinary skills of blue-eyed gladiators—a perfect fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, delivering an absolutely spectacular performance that displayed a unique Chinese charm in foreign lands. Act 4: Cleansing Rain The camel caravan, laden with goods and the joy of homecoming, arrived in Bamiyan where they fortuitously encountered the eminent Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang and his entourage on their westward journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures. Traveling together, both groups enjoyed a most pleasant companionship. The camel drivers also took the opportunity to worship at the Bamiyan Caves, making vows before the Buddha for the caravan's safe journey and praying for an early reunion with their families back home. As if blessed by heaven, a timely auspicious rain washed away the dust of travel, bringing good fortune for the journey home. With renewed confidence and joy, the caravan set off cheerfully on their way. Act V: The Return of the Beloved The camel route was the Silk Road that connected the great prosperity of Eurasia, and the camel caravans were the wooden shuttles weaving bonds of friendship along this ancient path. Generation after generation of camel drivers risked their lives to tread these routes smooth, while their hometowns remained the sweet dreams that guided their hearts homeward. Laden with harvests and hopes, the joy and longing made the homebound camel bells ring especially clear. Xiu'er and her sisters waited year after year, day after day, beneath the ancient tree at Baqiao, until at last—look, they have returned... Act 6: Prosperous China The camel caravans and horse caravans served as friendly envoys connecting nations across Eurasia. The Silk Road facilitated international exchanges, boosted economic growth and national strength in Eurasia, and strengthened friendships and relations among countries. It ushered in the prosperity and flourishing of the Tang Dynasty's golden age. Envoys from all nations gathered in joyous celebration of friendship, with the Tang emperor extending wishes for the Silk Road's prosperity and China's enduring greatness.
