The Harbournum Festival is a major summer celebration at the southern tip of Sylt Island, lasting three days and featuring live music, food trucks, children's activities, and a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night. In 2026, the festival will celebrate its 35th anniversary from July 31st to August 2nd. Harbournum will be transformed into a vibrant festival square. The event is organized by the Harbournum Tourist Information Center and admission is free. The schedule is as follows: July 31st, 2026, Friday – The festival opens in the afternoon with live music and food trucks. Evening activities include cover bands and DJ performances, continuing until late at night. A free shuttle bus to Westland is provided late at night. August 1st, 2026, Saturday – Daytime activities include children's workshops (pottery, stone carving, face painting), pirate adventures, and Wadden Sea education. In the evening, there will be a live band performance on the main stage. Highlights: Fireworks light up the harbor after nightfall. Late-night shuttle buses to the islands are available.
Sunday, August 2, 2026 – Closing day: A light-hearted program including beer (Frühschoppen) and a barcarolle choir in the morning, followed by a final concert in the afternoon.
