Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend - Wednesday, September 16th to Sunday, September 20th, 2026 The Rehoboth Beach Bears, Inc. invites you to attend the Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend 2026, our 11th Anniversary. Our event will kick off Wednesday, September 16th with pre-weekend happy hour, dinner and late nite bar. Then we will kick off on Thursday, September 17th and run thru Sunday, September 20th 2026. The Rehoboth Beach Bears is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of camaraderie and inclusiveness. The Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend is our flagship event and fundraiser for our Scholarship Fund for LGBTQIA+ youth in Sussex and Kent Counties, Delaware, and other philanthropy efforts. Are you looking to learn how to play golf? Here is a fun and affordable way to learn. This is the class for the person who knows little. This class 4 week class held on Saturdays is available to anyone 19 years old and older. The Class intended to introduce you to the game of golf. It is perfect for the person who has no previous golf background either having never played, or even held a club, to possibly having been to the driving range a few times. In these four weeks, we will walk you through the basics of playing the game of golf and teach you how to have fun on the golf course. Topics will include grip, stance, posture, alignment, iron play, woods, chipping, putting, and an on course demonstration of etiquette, rules, and different formats to play by. No personal clubs are needed. We will provide clubs for those who need them. Please bring yours if you have them. Dress appropriately for weather conditions. Proper golf attire is not required. Student to teacher ratio is normally 8:1 & limited to 24 students. Cost: $199 and includes all four weeks of instruction plus beverages.
