Kimitsu City boasts the most sake breweries in the Tokyo metropolitan area (1 metropolis and 7 prefectures). Due to its highly developed traditional sake brewing industry, the city has implemented the "Ordinance for Drinking Local Sake" to actively promote the consumption of locally produced sake. This year marks the ninth annual event, co-organized by Takehachizo sake breweries (Rokuzo in Kimitsu City and Nizo in Tomitsu City) and Honey Kobo, where attendees can sample the breweries' own sake, honey sake, and rice wine.
