GGuest UserStaying at Gui Lai Inn felt just like coming home. Last night, when I first arrived, I couldn't find the parking lot. The landlady personally came to pick me up and helped me park the car. She then enthusiastically introduced the attractions of the ancient city and gave me details on the city gate opening ceremony for the next day, including the time and location. Today, I was running late to check out, and the landlady kindly extended my check-out time until 2 PM, which really made me feel like family. Friends visiting Kashgar, Gui Lai Inn is definitely your top choice!

GGuest UserI originally didn't want to write this glowing review, fearing it would become too popular and I wouldn't be able to book a stay again. But after a few days, I felt I'd be doing myself a disservice not to. The hostel is right next to the bustling Liuxing Street in the city center. Step outside, and you're amidst vibrant streets and alleys where you can find baked buns,拌面 (banmian – mixed noodles), and hand-pulled rice dishes just a few steps away. It's also convenient for getting to the bus station and the airport. Yet, once you turn into the alley, it becomes wonderfully quiet. The old locust tree at the entrance is adorned with colorful wishing tags – red, yellow, blue – gently swaying in the breeze, as if whispering everyday stories for passersby. The front desk staff are incredibly responsive; messages are answered almost instantly. They patiently help you with directions and arranging shared rides, always enthusiastic and thoughtful without being intrusive – a comfortable balance. The rooms and beds are clean and tidy, changed for every guest, washed and sun-dried. The entire hostel is non-smoking, so the air is so fresh it makes you want to take a deep breath. Staying here feels secure, and you wake up refreshed. The facilities are complete, and the self-service kitchen is convenient and quick, with pots, pans, utensils, and seasonings available. You can store leftover fruit in the fridge and eat it the next day, which is both money-saving and comfortable. The cafe offers freshly ground, professionally made coffee that's delicious and not expensive; one cup can last you an entire afternoon. The reading room is elegant and quiet, with well-worn books that sometimes have pencil notes left by previous readers – you can easily lose track of time there. There's a strong international vibe, with backpackers from various countries chatting in the common area, a mix of English, French, and Spanish. You can join in or just smile and listen, and no one will find it strange. In the end, I did write this – a five-star review, truly recommended. I hope it becomes popular, yet I also fear it becoming too popular. But good things should be known by more people. Next time I come to Yining, I'll definitely stay here again.

I met a sister from Nanning at the youth hostel and she was also very nice!

By the way, Ta County is worth a visit!
But don’t sign up for a tour group from Central Asia! I didn’t go to many scenic spots, and when I arrived at the scenic spot, I was asked to come back in 5 minutes, come back in 10 minutes, and give me a maximum of 40 minutes of play time (black man’s question mark face). Then the weather was 38 or 9 degrees, and the driver drove with the windows open! (crying face)

GGuest UserEven though I only stayed for one night, the value for money was truly excellent. The location is right inside the Kazanqi scenic area, so it's easy to find by taxi. The front desk lady was very kind and enthusiastic, and even helped me with my luggage. The room was clean, and the comforter and pillows felt brand new. The courtyard is huge and absolutely beautiful. That night, I even joined a mahjong game with some other guests – it was so much fun! I hope to stay longer next time.

GGuest UserCame to Kashgar with friends on motorcycles and stayed at 'Guren Gui' – best decision ever! The landlady is an amazing cook, and you can join in for shared meals. Parking is super easy right outside the courtyard. Plus, there are mulberries and figs you can pick freely.
There were also a lot of foreigners here, and chatting with them was really fun. The hostel common area is huge and super comfy on the first floor, not hot at all, and you can even sing and dance together.

AAnonymous UserLocated in a convenient area, the hostel is easily accessible from Kuqa Railway Station by bus or taxi.
It's also within walking distance of Kuqa Royal Palace and the pedestrian street, making it a great base for exploring the city.
Without a private vehicle, it's difficult to visit nearby attractions such as the Tianshan Grand Canyon and Kiziliya. Staying here makes it easy to find other travelers to share a taxi or sightseeing plans.
As a relatively new hostel, the facilities are excellent.
The beds are comfortable, and the bedding is clean and well maintained.
As other reviews have mentioned, the sink is located in the center, with the toilet and shower room separated on either side.
This layout makes the shared facilities much less crowded and more convenient to use.
The hostel sign is a little difficult to spot from the main road.
From the intersection, walk about 30 meters into the large open square (parking area), and you'll find the single-story building on your left.

GGuest UserThe environment is excellent and very clean. For me, this is probably the best hostel in Urumqi. It's great for people who prioritize cleanliness. From what I read in reviews, this place is a significant upgrade from 'Ting Bo' in terms of environment. They don't allow smoking or eating in the rooms, which eliminates many odors. Everyone eats downstairs, providing lots of opportunities for interaction. I met many friends here and I will definitely come back. It was a great experience.

YYufanI arrived at 11 PM, and it was impossible to get a taxi. By the time I finally got one, it was almost midnight, and I reached the hotel past 12:30 AM. The staff member (little brother, as we say in China) was still waiting for me and came out to greet me. It was during the Eid al-Adha holiday, so there weren't many people around, which made his wait even more dedicated. He waited for me and then went home. The owner even upgraded my room. The moment I walked in, it was stunning – even at night, you could feel the exotic charm. Funnily enough, the wardrobe door led to the bathroom in the larger room, which was a nice surprise. Overall, it felt very retro and impressive. And it was super safe; I even went out on my first day without locking the door and nothing happened. The owner was also out enjoying the holidays, so it felt like I had the whole big villa to myself these past few days! Many people come here just to take photos. If there were more guests and the owner was around, I'm sure it would be even more fun with lots of activities. After all, such a beautiful house must be cared for by someone truly dedicated. I hope to stay here again next time. My only regret is that I was alone and no one was there to take good photos of me, but I still managed to get some great shots!

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, almost directly opposite the century-old teahouse, placing it right in the heart of the ancient city. Male dorms are on the second floor, female dorms on the third, and the rooftop is on the fourth. The hotel is home to several adorable cats, including British Shorthairs and a 'Big Orange' (ginger cat). The price is incredibly reasonable; a few tens of yuan in Kashgar is a fantastic deal, in my opinion. I personally saw the quilts, pillowcases, and sheets being changed for new ones! They even smelled like they'd been sun-dried. The room was very quiet at night, with no noise allowed inside. I'm very satisfied! Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThis is my second time in Kashgar, and this time I just randomly picked a hostel, which turned out to be far beyond my expectations! There's a huge mulberry tree in the lobby, making it very cool and creating a great atmosphere. As soon as I arrived, I joined a board game group and learned a new way to play from Inner Mongolia. The beds are super soft and comfortable, and my roommates were all very considerate. The lady who checked me in was also very friendly and recommended some great places to eat. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!
