For the first time ever I phoned reception to complain about the noise. There was a function going on downstairs that was so obnoxious. When I called reception the guy who answered just sighed, told me that he'd had several complaints and the music would continue until 12.45... The corridor was SO noisy. All the doors are set to slam closed. And slam they do.... I was travelling with my 10 year old daughter. We both had a terrible night's sleep. Staff didn't ask how my stay was or how I'd slept when checking out. As a frequent traveller I think that's the first time this has happened. Probably just as well as I'd have told them.... The room was clean but there was no shampoo in the container in the bathroom. Very basic. Saving grace was the swimming pool. Especially with a 10 year old. We were allowed to swim in the morning which really cheered her up.

I had a pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The hotel is in a fantastic location — very central and convenient for exploring the city, with everything within easy walking distance. The staff were consistently warm, professional, and welcoming, which really made the experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. The only downside was that the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly, which made the room a bit stuffy at times. Aside from that, the facilities and service were excellent, and I’d happily stay here again.

I booked this hotel for my business trip to Glasgow from China. My friend had warned me that a £100 hotel here would be roughly equivalent to a basic budget chain like Home Inn back home. My experience after checking in was decent. Overall, the cleanliness was good; the room had no strange smells and was very well-cleaned. The bed was also comfortable, and it was very quiet. The facilities, however, are a bit dated – not quite up to the standard I'm used to in China. They provided two complimentary bottles of water in the room; just bear in mind they won't be replenished, so don't drink them all too quickly. The front desk staff were alright; I simply gave my name to check in, and they didn't even ask for my passport, which was a bit surprising.

You can walk from Central Station, but it's a little difficult if you have luggage because it's on a hill. It takes 6-7 minutes to get to the bus stop for the airport, so it's safe even early in the morning. The room was clean, had a bathtub, and was comfortable. I like the service very much in a purely British hotel. I have to check out at 11 o'clock because the flight is still early. I negotiated with the hotel for a late checkout. The hotel originally said that it would charge 15 pounds for every hour of delay. Later, the hotel paid the delay fee. It’s worth recommending if you don’t need it.

The city center is cheap and there is a bar on the first floor. And it's 20-30 meters away from the train station center where I'm going to the meeting. This geographical location is absolutely amazing. The place was not fancy or anything but it was pleasant, nice staff and comfy bed. It has a common room with chairs and table. Not comfy but ok for what I needed. Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott near the SEC/Ovo Hydro for a gig and it was ideal. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable — exactly what you want after a late night. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, and we had food at the bar in the evening which was also spot on. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you're going to a show at the Hydro or Armadillo — it's basically a 5-minute walk so no hassle getting back after the event. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Glasgow for a concert.

Cannot fault this Hotel the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and know their job inside out special mention for Morven who goes above and beyond a staff member that the Hotel should be proud to have on their payroll. Rooms lovely, fresh and very clean. Food and drink available 24 hours. Location is great. Metres from the bus station, loads of shops on the doorstep a cinema complex and a concert hall right across the road and I found 3 Italian restaurants within 400 metres radius. Taxi to the Hydro a mere £8.00 and was outside the Hotel seconds from ordering. Stayed in many Hotels in Glasgow why I never picked this one before I will never know but it will be my go too Glasgow Hotel from now on

This hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Glasgow, 3 min walk to bus station and 7 mins to Queen Street train station. The staff were super friendly and answered all questions. The only downside in the room was the AC/Thermostat. It had its on mind and would switch it self off, turn up or down on its own and this resulted in being too hot or cold. Otherwise this room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed.

The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there. Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food.
