|8.5km from city centerI usually get up late without booking breakfast; free parking; walk to the supermarket within a few minutes to solve the problem of eating and drinking (borrow hotel microwave oven); there is a gas station nearby, and there is a KFC within ten minutes of walking; choose to stay because of the cost-effectiveness, and drive to the city It takes 20 minutes. I drove the car to the public free parking lot at the Metro Terminal near the Marseille Stadium, and then took the Metro to the Old Port of Marseille. There is no hair dryer in the room, and the smell of the corridors I don’t know how to appreciate...

|0.97km from city centerAlthough our stay was fine, we had a very bad experience. My brother-in-law forgot his tablet in his room. He had left it on the floor near the wall and in the morning upon drawing the curtains open the tablet was hidden behind so he didn't see it. Arriving in our next hotel destination (Villeneuve-Loubet) he realized the tablet was left in Toyoko-Inn. He immediately called the hotel and the security guy told him no tablet was found. He went to personally check the room that happened to be empty as no guest was in that room that night. He then told my brother-in-law he didn't find anything. We called the hotel again the following day and we got the same answer. We sent an e-mail to the hotel manager only to get the same answer. Since there was no other guest in that room it seems that only people from the hotel entered it. We can not believe a tablet can vanish without a human intervention so we suspect that somebody from the hotel found it but didn't deliver it to the reception. This matter ruined the remaining days of our vacation and left a bitter taste in our mouths. I sent a complaint to the Tourism Office in M****illes but they couldn't answer me as they are on public holidays! So, if you stay in that hotel double and triple check your room before you leave because if something valuable is forgotten it's more than certain it won't be recovered or compensated.

|4.08km from city centerI had to book 2 night accomodation at short notice, this was a basic accomodation only.. There was no telephone between my room & reception in a large block of flats. The paper system at reception took a messge from my friends (my mobile phone had been stolen) but that messge never reached me, there was never a note on my door in the block of flats. The cooking pot was for 4 or 6 peopple, there needs ot be one at a size for just 1 or 2 people as it was a twin room. The bed(s) were board beds with a single mattress only on top. It was more suited to people with cars as there was parking & it was near the A50 route.. But I was on public transport & it took at least 30 minutes to get to the twon centre. To be fair,it was quiet & there was greenspace nearby. I would only book this place again if there was nowhere else to go.

Ms. Taina is an always helpful lady with a special welcoming smile that makes feel more than at home. Mr. Saintiago is a man of solutions. He never tells you about the difficulties. For him, there is always a solution for the customers when a whatsoever problem happens. Thanks to you three, and to all the staff working with you, Goldentulip Euromed-M****ille has become a place for everything and everything in place. In a word: You are the best. 👍. I wrote this review after more than ten stays in this exceptional hotel to say that buildings become alive with the working staff that are managing them. I have tried three other nearby hotels, and it is a mistake to even think of comparing Goldentulip Euromed-M****ille to them. You cannot compare the incomparable!!

|1.36km from city centerThe location in the new business district of Marseilles, the cleanliness, free WiFi and the Novotel's spacious suites with a balcony and a view of the cruise terminal convinced us. Since we were on a road trip through France and Spain with some friends, we traveled in a van. Unfortunately, the parking garages in these countries only have a limited height, but in the parking garage of this accomodiation, which was a 5-minute walk away, it was suitable for our large vehicle, was very generous and was also discounted for hotel guests. The staff at Novotel Suites was very friendly, a bar, a gym and a restaurant with daily breakfast were among the amenities of this hotel. We didn't use the breakfast because there were very good and cozy breakfast places where you can sit outside in the surrounding area. A shopping mall and public transport connections (metro/tram) were in the immediate vicinity. The Old Harbor with a lot of seafood restaurants and a wonderful atmosphere in the evening was easy to reach in about 15 minutes on foot. We can recommend this hotel, especially for guests with a large car.

|0.6km from city centerWe visited here in July for the Grand Prix so we just needed a base for 2 adults. This place had 24hr check in and was a 10min walk to the train station so it ticked those boxes! There is security on the door at night as the hotel is in a rough part of town but within a 5min walk, you are close to the Port which is gorgeous so it's a good location for exploring. The room was large and cool with a balcony, there was a definite smell from the drains so if you're sensitive to smells then it might not be the one for you but the kitchenette is large and well stocked with a Nespresso so that was nice. They provide a breakfast board for 9 euros which covered all the bases and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and you get a balcony (it overlooks some apartments but it's nice to have somewhere to hang wet towels etc). I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for a base to eat/sleep. It's not luxury but it had everything we needed for a short stay in 38c heat!

|3.39km from city centerMy partner and I are staying in this hotel tonight (17Sep) The good. New hotel, feels clean and fresh. Nice airy lobby / reception area. Small pool but clean and inviting. Really friendly staff, I’ve asked for slippers and bucket of ice, delivered to our room within minutes with a smile. Thank you🌸 Underground car park, very convenient, but expensive. Bad: Our room ( no 814) has a very strange layout. The bathroom is “split” in half. Toilet is located separately by the door and the other “part of the bathroom” sink and shower is located on the other side of the room. Separate toilet has NO sink, so every time we use toilet we have to walk to the other side of the room to wash hands - unpractical, illogical and dead annoying. Very limited room service menu, very few dishes, no wine, no champi. The area - really dirty, rubbish on the street, noise from nearby apartment blocks. All in all - okay’ish for 1-2 nights not longer.

|0.56km from city centerThis - kind of - does what it says on the tin. A decent room in a great location with breakfast places if you turn both left and right (and a Lidl just up the hill). Also Le44 next door is a nice eatery. The bathroom is, in theory, well thought out, roomy with enough either side of the basin to put vanity bags. But, the shower heads (I presume) have been changed and don't fit into the holders so you have to be creative with how you have a shower. There is no plug in the sink. The beds (2 singles) have mattresses that are larger than the bedstead, so if you put too much weight on the edge of the mattress, you are liable to topple out of the bed. We had room 107 and in the corridor outside there was a leak from the ceiling for the duration of our 3 night stay, the water was captured in a bucket, which was regularly changed but we could monitor the increased frequency of the dripping. The stairs up to first floor smelled old, uncleaned and a couple of items of litter remained in situ for the duration of our stay. This hotel could be so much more and needs an overhaul.

|0.86km from city centerThis was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.

|3.09km from city centerCela fait des années que je viens dans cet hôtel, même de l'époque Ibis Budget. L'hôtel dans son ensemble est vraiment super. Les chambres sont bien entretenues. Son emplacement est idéal et dans un bon quartier. Il est assez calme malgré le bruit éventuel d'autres clients. L'entretien sous les lits n'est pas réalisé. La douche est très petite. Avant, avec Ibis Budget, le petit déjeuner était bien meilleur et de meilleure qualité avec plus de choses. Il faudrait qu'il soit mieux rempli et plus rapidement. Un meilleur accueil avec un sourire et de l'enthousiasme serait le bienvenue. Cette hôtel est bien dans son ensemble mais l'époque Ibis Budget est malheureusement bien lointaine.

|0.52km from city centerRecently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great

|1.88km from city centerMy son and I spent the weekend of 25 & 26 at this hotel for we had a Marseille swim event on saturday. The hotel is just fine but the reason for this post is the staff. Now, Mercure is a large chain, but it is run as a 'mom & pop' hotel with lots of personal attention for the guests. We could ask anything and they would be as flexible as possible to give whatever we asked for like a late snack or some cream for a skin rash due to the swimming. Everybody was helpful and with the most beautiful smiles on their faces.

|0.96km from city centerThis hotel was ideal, for what I needed, arriving quite late at night and on my own : somewhere clean and comfortable near the railway station. The staff on Reception were always helpful. My room, on the 1st floor, was fine for single occupancy, but might have been rather small for a couple with luggage. It was great to have a kettle in the room, to make tea and coffee: this is uncommon in France, but was one reason I decided to choose this hotel. I didn't try the breakfast, since I was heading down towards the port where there are many cafes. For anyone who needs it, the is a small Carrefour supermarket not far away by the station, and a good cheap Asian restaurant (Saveurs de Dong) on the main road near the hotel. I was able to leave my luggage with Reception when I checked out, and collect it in the afternoon to fit in with my plans. All in all, I would definitely choose this hotel again in similar circumstances.

The transportation is very convenient, 5 minutes to the subway station, you can take the subway two or three stations to the train station or the old port. |1.12km from city centerThis hotel is in one of the worst areas of Marseille. There are homeless people in doorways and the area is run down and desolate. The hotel staff are cheerful enough but I think that even they know that they're in a dire area. The hotel itself has no bar or restaurant so you have to venture outside if you want any sustenance. Best thing to do - head directly to the old port where there is a huge array of bars and restaurants. Get a taxi back to the hotel (about €15) or risk getting mugged in the street like I did. The one amusing part about our stay was using the underground car park. Having to fit a car that is 1.84m wide into a lift that is 1.9m wide was fun. The car park is on level minus 5 by the way so you're in for a journey a long way down!

The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant evening meal was excellent. The view from the ninth floor rooftop is amazing. Bus stop across the road for access to city centre. Metro ten minute walk away, one change to the old port. Supermarket nearby, lots of cafes bars nearby. We were a group of four adults and two children and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The facilities are a bit old and I feel that there are many people nearby. The local shops close early and the first floor is full of iron gates. I heard that it is a relatively safe place to stay for one night. The port view is still possible.

|10.14km from city centerI stayed last year during the Covid-19 period, it was more complicated with meal trays to eat in the room as well as breakfast. Currently I find the hotel welcoming staff with a smile despite the mask and this breakfast in the room is great with lots of choice! What a shame not to find a basket of oranges with a juice extractor. Clean hotel, nice room with all the necessary towels, shower gel, etc. Good bedding. Quiet places and free parking with gate closed at night, opening possible! I will definitely come back for future training! Good continuation and see you soon.

The spa was small but nice. Not sure I’d pay for a day pass but having it included was good. There were a couple of minor let-downs: the television didn’t work at all and the hotel wasn’t able to fix it during our stay, the extractor fan in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and was full of dirt, and the shower didn’t drain fast enough so we had to turn off the water every couple of minutes.

Very nice and very good quality products. Room was big and clean. After having read the reviews of my one at the airport, I decided to book one more night in here: they managed to keep me in the same room and kindly arrange a taxi for a very early flight. Only minus : the window to be opened would have been amazing!
