This was our fourth time staying in this hotel and once again it did not disappoint. Well located near the three railway stations, JR, Subway and private Railway. It is one station from the main Kyoto JR Station and well worth the 7 minutes commute. Also linked by subway is an excellent shopping mall which has an extensive range of shops and restaurants. The rooms are average size by Japanese standards but spotless and well appointed. We will be staying there again when we return to Japan next March.

It arrived around 21 o'clock with a plan that can be in from 18:00, and it was in a state that it was not connected unless it called a lot by the phone to the front desk. When I finally thought I was connected, it took a while to confirm the reservation and the waiting time at the entrance was long, so check-in was not smooth. It was the beginning of the year, so I might have been busy, but I wanted you to improve a little more. The room is neither good nor bad. The bath was a bit small for two people to enter. It is reasonable for the price. The ventilation in the bathroom was not stopped, and it was cold, so I got my throat hurt because the air conditioner was fully operational. I thought it would be nice to have a humidifier. I think it's a great deal if you use it for a short time, so I think I'll use free time next time ...

Very warm one-family building, although far from the station (very close to the second year of Han), but the environment is very good, very warm, quiet, can also experience the Japanese home life, suitable for family travel.

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards, next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards,

Spotless for a mild cleanliness patient, here is as comfortable as home. My heart trembles every time I think about planning to climb a hill, but I never regret my decision to live on the mountain every time. It is the most pleasant thing to walk around slowly in the early morning every morning, and the mood is peaceful and happy. I met 🌈 this time. At breakfast, I felt very lucky. Spring and autumn in Kyoto are the most beautiful seasons.

Centrally Located with a Few Drawbacks Travel Lodge is located on a shopping street with plenty of places to eat nearby. It’s also within walking distance of Gion, making it a great base for exploring. The location offers easy access to both bus and metro lines, making transportation convenient, and it’s not a far walk to reach either option. They also provide luggage storage, which is helpful. However, be aware that rooms are only cleaned every 4th day, so if you’re staying fewer than four nights (like we did), you won’t have a clean room and you’ll need to grab supplies and exchange towels at the main desk. The hotel breakfast, served at a neighboring restaurant, was a bit of a letdown. It mainly consisted of bread and some oily sides, though the coffee and drink options were good. The room itself was typical for a Japanese hotel—compact, but clean, with a hot shower. Despite the small size, after a long day of walking, you’ll sleep fine! Just keep in mind that check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM, so plan accordingly!

The room is super large, including tatami, Western-style bed, dining table and living room. The hotel is very new and close to Kyoto Station. It's just that the bathroom has a glass bath screen. If you want to go to the bathroom, you have to go through the bathroom first. It was a very comfortable stay here, the staff was polite, and I would choose this hotel again.

If you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. The location is also near the station, and it's easy to understand that you can reach it in just a few minutes from the station. Parks, aquariums and railway museums are also nearby, so you can play with your children. There is a large communal bath, but personally, the hot water is lukewarm and unsatisfactory. I stayed in a standard twin room, but I was able to spend a relaxing time in a room that was perfectly large even if I spread a large suitcase. There are also 6 coin laundry units, which is appreciated for long-term stays. It seems that a group of school excursion students was staying there, and I was worried that I could hear a slapstick noise at a fairly late time. There is also a convenience store, so it's very convenient, but it was very disturbing because a group of school excursion students was shopping and it was very crowded, and I didn't know how to use the self-checkout and was making a fuss. It was. Isn't it shifting such shopping time or the school side manages it? Apart from that, I was able to spend comfortably without any problems.

During our 8-day and 7-night free trip to Kansai, our final destination was Kyoto. Before the trip, we referred to online reviews and chose to stay at the high-value Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo. This hotel, which was newly completed in March 2022, wasn't very popular at the time and didn't have many recommendations from travel experts. Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo Booked through Agoda for only HKD 1578 for a 2-night stay. Standard Room (2 beds) - Non-smoking Two small double beds Room size: 26 square meters / 280 square feet View: City view Free access to the lounge The hotel is located in the Shijo Karasuma area of Kyoto. It takes about 7-10 minutes on foot to reach it from Exit 24 of Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line or Karasuma Station on the Keihan Electric Railway. Although it's a bit far from the subway station, there is a bus stop near the hotel, which is relatively convenient. The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and there is a large supermarket called LIFE in the ba*****t, which is very convenient! Even if the weather is bad, there's no need to worry about getting wet while buying food. Take the elevator from the less crowded exit next to it to the hotel lobby on the 3rd floor to check-in. 🌟Stylish and Spacious Hotel Lobby🌟 Upon reaching the 3rd floor, the feeling is completely different from the hotel's underground entrance. The design is stylish and the lobby is comfortable and spacious, with self-check-in kiosks available. However, since it was our first stay at Richmond Hotel, we chose to have the hotel staff assist us with the check-in process, and they even kindly offered a Welcome Drink (sake). Additionally, it's worth mentioning that during the stay in Kyoto, an accommodation tax of 200 yen per person per night is required. We stayed for two nights, so the total tax was 800 yen. 🌟Spacious and Comfortable Rooms🌟 As a typical Japanese hotel, Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo is clean and comfortable, with an air purifier in the room. Just like the hotels in Osaka, even with two suitcases open, there is still plenty of space to move around (even with three suitcases open, there is still ample space). What surprised us was that the two small double beds in the room were actually Simmons beds, extremely comfortable with just the right firmness, and the hotel's pajamas were soft and comfortable too! The bathroom is a separate shower and bath area, and they provide free bath salts, making it very comfortable to take a bath in the room! 🌟Stylish Room Design🌟 The lighting design is very comfortable, with different modes to choose from, and it also comes with a remote control for the lights, allowing you to adjust the lighting from bed, ensuring a peaceful sleep. It's very thoughtful! 🌟Free Access to the Lounge🌟 Although it wasn't our first time enjoying a hotel lounge, Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo's lounge is definitely one of the best! From 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, they provide an unlimit

Although the breakfast was amazing just a delicious side dish of Kyoto style, I was very looking forward to breakfast even if I stayed for consecutive nights with almost all items replaced every day. Even if the number of items is substantial at other hotels, this hotel is exceptional, with overwhelmingly the same menu almost every day. I would like to make it a regular inn in Kyoto in the future.

We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. Having lived in Kyoto for a long time, this was our first time to stay in a hotel and would recommend it for sure.

It is not recommended for guests with more luggage or large boxes: First, because the homestay is located in the scenic area of two years and three years, tourists are like weaving during the day, and taxis can't get in at all. You need to drag your suitcase and walk a long uphill and downhill stone road and steps to find a place to live; Second, it is because it is difficult to call the car after checking out. You need to drag your suitcase through the woven stone street to the main road far away to take a taxi... Of course, for guests who have no luggage or less luggage, you may wish to experience the feeling of an old room for one night.
