The Crown and Thistle ★★★★

📍 18 Bridge St, Abingdon

"Fabulous staff, couldn't be more helpful. Food is wonderful, service great. Down side is the parking! Sat Nav takes you to the front of the hotel, car park is at the back which is hard to find. The hotel has no instructions on anything, complicated system on getting the lights etc to work. Air con is great but again, no instructions. A simple fix would be to have a folder on how to make things work! No lifts which for someone with mobility problems is a huge issue."

AbingPlough House ★★★

📍 The Plough, Clifton Hampden, Clifton Hampden

"The room was very warm and cozy, the bathroom large and clean, but everything is worn out, should be restored, breakfast was very weak, cold, because we waited about 40min.,although we were the first, reception was very cold, but thanks for this experience"

Courtyard Oxford South
9.0 (49 reviews)

Courtyard Oxford South ★★★★

📍 6 Milton Gate, Milton, Abingdon

"Around 30 minutes by car away from Oxford city area via motorway. Offered free parking in front of the hotel. Suitable for who is traveling by cars. Add on 10 pounds for the breakfast. Variety is limited yet good enough to start a day with it.  Room itself is wide and clean, just Marriott standards so need need to worry."

Milton Hill House
7.8 (104 reviews)

Milton Hill House ★★★★

📍 Мilton Hill, Steventon, Milton Hill, Abingdon

"Lovely grounds, nice leisure facilities Pleasant food, reasonably priced Great deals on offer from time to time so can be good value for money."

Kingfisher Barn
8.3 (43 reviews)

Kingfisher Barn ★★★

📍 Rye Farm, Abingdon

"Very distinctive British country hotel, each house is very clean, fully equipped, and the floor heating is opened in May, so although it is on the first floor, it is very dry. Especially at night, it is very quiet, the yard is full of flowers and trees, and the yard is outside the vast pasture. You can see the vast starry sky when you look up. The experience is great! The hotel is basically unattended. Everyone's room number has been informed by email. When we check in, we enter the room and check out to the front desk to turn the key. There is a British girl at breakfast to help us make some simple breakfast and experience the British rural family life. It’s only half an hour’s drive to Oxford, and friends who have a car can experience it here."

Dog House by Chef & Brewer Collection ★★★

📍 Faringdon Road, Abingdon

Clifton Hampden B&B
6.2 (24 reviews)

Clifton Hampden B&B ★★

📍 Abingdon Road, Clifton Hampden

"This hotel's location offers undeniable convenience, and the front desk staff are welcoming. However, the property suffers from a clear lack of upkeep. My room, while clean, was showing its age, with a torn quilt cover and peeling paint on one wall. The electrical system was erratic, with bedside lights flickering on and off unpredictably. The rear access was poorly lit, and the elevator button malfunctioned, and a dead mouse was left for over 24 hours. Breakfast was disappointing, featuring unpalatable coffee from a bean-to-cup machine and long-life carton orange juice. Limited to basic cereal and fruit, the meal was far from satisfying. The hotel's location, unfortunately, places it within a traffic bottleneck, though nighttime noise was surprisingly minimal. With no nearby dining options, guests are forced to travel for meals. The hotel is in dire need of a comprehensive renovation to align with its pricing"

Premier Inn Abingdon (A34)
6.9 (42 reviews)

Premier Inn Abingdon (A34) ★★★

📍 Marcham Road, Abingdon

"Poorly prepared room. Bathroom facilities not complete - no toilet paper, no shower gel/soap. Not enough towels for 2 adults provided nor was there sufficient coffee or sugar for both to have a cup"

"Hotel is very run down. The room was very dated and the breakfast was not great. This hotel has so much potential it’s a shame that it is the way it is."

Clifton Hampden B&B ★★
"Having read some of the recent negative reviews I was a little apprehensive about our 2 night stay, however we had a warm welcome on arrival, the room no 7, was large as was the bathroom which had both a bath and separate shower. There was plenty of hot water, the rooms clean, and the bed comfortable. You do have to order your breakfast the night before but there was fruit juice nd cereal also available and a very good coffee machine. This is a B and B not a hotel and the owners are still very new so we were happy to accept service might not be a slick as one might expect in a hotel. I would agree the outside does need some attention but this is arguably down to the previous owners rather than the new owners. This is a period building so some quirkiness is part of the character of the building."

Premier Inn Abingdon (A34) ★★★
"Relatively new hotel, most grubby premier inn I have ever experienced. This place runs on minimum staff, the receptionist doubles up as cleaner, kitchen hand, serving staff and general dogsbody. Consequently everything gets done eventually but poorly. This is not the staff at fault they are run offtheir feet and are generally friendly and helpful.Restaurant serves up expensive very poor value small portion dinners. This place although situated on an out of town trading estate charges you £3.50 per night to park in a spacious half empty car park. Best avoid this place, there are other premiere inns in the area and they must be better."
