"Hotel La Berengere is easy to find, on the right just after the first roundabout as you enter Perouges (and before the left turn up to old Perouges village). If you don’t have a Satnav it might be slightly difficult as the hotel is hidden behind a high hedge. Parking is plentiful. Although we were an hour early, the charming lady let us book into our room, which is what I’d describe as plain and functional, but perfectly comfortable and with a very smart en-suite. The lobby area in reception is smart and comfortable and there is also a nice patio and pool area. The hotel is situated just on the edge of Meximieux and is a comfortable 20 minute walk into the old village of Perouges. Meximieux is where you will find all the usual facilities but if you like a beer in the evening I warn you that there aren’t many bars in town. I found two - L’Aquarelle and the Lion d’Or (the latter being very good) which are both no more than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You can, of course, get beer in the hotel. Breakfast was very good and, in addition to fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals etc, there was a decent selection of cold meats, cheeses and hard boiled eggs all served with plenty of bread and croissants. Although the coffee was from a machine it was actually OK. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly use the hotel again. "

"We reserved La Villa du Lac because of the SPA and nice restaurant on the pictures at "stay for long". In reality it was a horrible ghost hotel - the SPA was closed with NO water, the restaurant was also closed like the main hotel see foto's. Stay for long diden't want to pay any of the approximately 200 Euro per day back or talk about any compensation :-( The promised WIFI diden't work, so we got a big bill for mobile data when we got home. Stay Away from La Villa du Lac and Don't use "Stay for long" for booking !!"

"Newly renovated hotel with excellent air-conditioning which is seldom find in Europe. Close to airport bus just 3 minutes walking distance and goes to airport in 10 minutes. Easily connected to Geneva main train station by bus too, around 20 minutes. Much cheaper to stay in France than in Geneva city centre"
