"We booked this hotel without really knowing anything about it as a stopover on our roadtrip in Spain. What a great find!! The hotel itself is in beautiful grounds, palm trees, beautiful bougainvillea, orange groves, its a little slice of paradise (and this was in mid January!) The pools, surrounded by lawns and gazebos looked very inviting, but were a bit chilly despite the 20 degeee January sunshine. The receptionist was welcoming and very nice as was our lovely, well equiped room with a beautiful terrace with a view of the garden and surrounding mountains. The lounge areas were tastefully appointed and the open fire (burning orange wood?) made for a cosy evening backdrop to enjoy some wine and tapas. We slept very well and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning, with some of the best breakfast buffet food I've had. Its a five minute stroll through the orange groves and olive trees to the coast, which has some stoney beaches, and a nice walk into town (8km there and back). All in all a really great find. Highly recommended, just wish we could have stayed a little longer. "

"Booked for ten days in August. Great location, lovely spacious clean and spacious rooms. But.. First of all, an obsessive program done at nearly seconds from the exact time for opening doors for the pools, for the terrace on top of the hotel and for the dining place. People queuing every morning for all especially for the limited sun lounges at both pools. You feel like you’re at work and the atmosphere as you step in is not at all welcoming. And then you’re there, and you order a drink, and even if they know you’re a guest, your room number, and you’ve been there all day, or before, and be there tomorrow, they still treat you like they’ve never seen you before and you there to rob the place. I’m not gonna give names but one female “manager” of the bar on top of the hotel treats you like you’re running away with a bottle of water. You go to the restaurant for your meal, you order a bottle of wine at the table, charge it to the room and bring it upstairs to the terrace of the same hotel, the same bottle still on your room, the same terrace manager tries to throw you out from the place and she’s aggressive to you in front of other guests and ruining your holidays that you paid for with meals included telling you if you order downstairs you drink it downstairs and if u don’t finish it to drink it IN YOUR ROOM! Holidays mode gone! Now.. that’s another real problem Paid all meals included and… eat out of the hotel by now a good few times to the point that tonight I ordered Domino’s as I can’t see the same food every day for the ten days. When I say the same food.. I actually mean the exact same food!! Not even the placement of the food is not changing. What might change from lunch to dinner is the bbq type of meat grilled in front of you and change is from pork to lamb and then back to pork and some chicken. That’s for lunch or dinner every day! My kids are sick of the same chips or the same type of noodles! Overall experience is absolutely disappointing. So dissatisfying that I had to write this review two days before my check out time and with the intent to save many others from being put through this “holiday” experience!!! I would highly recommend if you do though, do not take the meals cause the chef needs a different career, to avoid the restaurant and the terrace from the unfriendliness you’re welcomed with, and once again I will particularly highlight the terrace bar female manager not to be named as she’s already wrecked my time off enough, to enjoy the room and the sea and try to make lemonade from the bitter lemons"
