"Staying for the fourth time (alternating with Hotel Alkmaar Grand) in the past two decades. This hotel has not changed much, except expanding within and outside premises in the same location (Stationweg) right opposite to Train and Bus Station. Rooms got modernized more. Room with balcony is excellent. Breakfast spread is very good (8-10 AM). Very courteous staff (Zhanna is very good and so are, Sander and Andrew). Suggestions: Pls add a coffee pot (Hot Water Kettle, Coffee & Tea Sachets, Sucre’ etc), which does not cost much. Also, providing print outs for Boarding Passes for departing guests, will be a good will gesture."

Grapèlli Boutique Hotel

"The five of us had a very enjoyable couple of nights recently at the Grapelli Boutique hotel. We occupied three very different rooms, all with bags of character. Part of the hotel occupies the site of the former Grapelli Dance Studios and we were sorry we couldn't take the hotel with us when we moved on to Leiden, where our hotel wasn't up to the same high standard."

"Something different for a change, and a very nice and special experience. Located close to the cozy center of Alkmaar, which is certainly worth a visit. Looks exactly like the photos. Definitely worth repeating. 1 minor downside: regarding parking, I find it strange that an additional €10 is charged for this as well."

"1 out of 5. Tomatoes soup was tasteless.Sate sauce burned, no dressing on the salad, chicken very dry. Steak cooked in correctly. The risotto was disgusting just taste like plane cheese with some rice. We waited an hour for are food to come and we were very disappointed."
