"This is an old country hotel. The nameplate says it opened in the 17th century. The facilities inside are well maintained. The exterior is relatively simple, and you need to carry your own luggage up the stairs, and the winding road is not easy to walk."

TRAVELODGE AMESBURY STONEHENGE ★★★

"Sadly poor customer service spoiled our stay here. Over zealous check in staff demanding multiple items of ID (and finding it funny to joke about prolonging check in for as long as possible). Evening staff members smoking and chatting outside the front of the hotel throughout the night spoiling sleep quality, despite earlier being VERY quick to tell off guests for doing exactly the same. The room was ok but overbearingly hot, and the request for a working fan was turned down as they had run out. Car parking was inadequate and the whole area felt cramped and chaotic."
