My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. They did feel a bit outdated though, but that was part of the charm. The bed was quite hard though, so the sleep quality wasn't optimal. Our room had a small terrace with a lovely view: ideal to enjoy the warm summer evening and very practical to dry your swimsuit and towels. We really enjoyed the quiet location of the hotel and the beautiful views on the Spanish hills on the other side of the river Guadiana. The hotel staff was very friendly and although we arrived to early they let us into the room before check-in time. We booked a boat ride in the hotel, which was the highlight of our stay. The captain of the boat turned out to be a gentleman from the Netherlands and offered us the opportunity to steer the boat for a while. We really had a great time! The swimming pool is big enough to cool down after a hot day. We didn't succeed in conquering one of the sunbeds (we didn't mind, we only went there for a swim), so if you like relaxing by the pool, make sure to arrive at the moment the pool opens. The food and drinks in the bar are good. The dishes are simple, but tasty and the wine was poured very generously. I have to complement the cook the prepared the English breakfast. I loved every bit of it!
