Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel ★★★★★

📍 1401 Ocean Ave, Asbury Park

"Extremely disappointed, I'm sad to say. The Berkeley has gone down hill. The smell of mold and or sewage hung in the air. The cost for valet is double what we pay in NYC. No room at the pool. Just so disappointed."

Asbury Ocean Club Hotel ★★★★★
"For a four-star hotel, it was quite good. The rooms were comfortable, with ceilings of about 3.5 meters or more, spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom and closet were also very nice. I stayed for two weeks; it's right by the beach, so I imagine it would be great in the summer. The food wasn't amazing, but it was acceptable. Room service was also prompt. However, a few days before I left, the food delivery app suddenly stopped working without any notification. I later learned from the front desk that they had changed the menu, simplifying it considerably, perhaps to cut costs due to winter's arrival and poor business. The biggest problem was its distance from New York; there were definitely no Chinese restaurants nearby. A bit of a disappointment."

Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel ★★★★★
"This was our second stay here. Hotel now has refrigerators in the units and ice machines on every floor. The loud club type pool music didn’t suit the audience which was mostly families and people trying to relax,. A bit expensive given parking is not included. Not sure we would stay here again unless going to a concert at Stone Pony."
