"Our stay was part of a prepaid group booking that had been paid for in full by a third party. While everyone else checked in without issue, I was incorrectly told that my room had not been paid for. I explained that I was part of the group booking and emailed my booking confirmation and prepaid voucher showing my name, but I was still told there was no payment. After spending over an hour trying to resolve the issue, I had no choice but to pay £145 on my personal credit card so I could check in. The following morning, it became clear that I had been checked into another guest's booking with a similar surname, while my own prepaid room had been available all along. As a result, my accommodation was effectively paid for twice. The member of staff I spoke to the next morning was very helpful in identifying the mistake. However, despite raising the issue in person, emailing immediately after my stay, and sending three follow-up emails over the past week, I have still received no response or refund. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of communication afterwards has been extremely disappointing."

"This hotel is strongly advised to be avoided. Because it's located in the town center, it's very popular and therefore doesn't care about bookings, completely ignoring customer needs. I booked a month in advance and requested a quiet room, but was given the noisiest one. There was a constant, loud roaring noise from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Upon investigation, I discovered that the restaurant kitchen was right below the room, and the powerful exhaust fan vent was right outside my window. The hotel exhibits serious discrimination; the guests are mostly middle-aged and elderly white people, and they deliberately give the worst rooms to Asians. The wait for a table at the restaurant is over an hour. I recommend avoiding this hotel; there are many other hotels to choose from in the surrounding area."

"I booked this hotel because it shares the same name as a McDonald's burger joint, which felt familiar. The hotel is quite large for the area; although not new, it was cleaner than expected. The service was also exceptionally attentive. On our check-out day, we had to catch a train, so we checked out before breakfast started. The hotel thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for us within minutes. Additionally, there's something the booking platform needs to correct: the hotel doesn't offer ski lessons. The hotel could improve its communication with the platform to provide accurate information for future bookings."

"Lovely well cared for home and gardens with several glamping units as well. Spotlessly clean. Hosts Gill and Ken go all out to ensure each guest has a positive experience. The breakfast is beautifully served using fresh ingredients artistically presented. And tastes even better than it looks! They were very helpful with information on the surrounding areas and things we wanted to see and do. They rate 10 out of 5."

"Went here with my daughter for mid term trip. Location is very easy to find even it’s my first time visiting aviemore. Staffs are super nice and friendly. Only downside is hotel abit old and the window in our room doesn’t shut probably so the cold wind blew in. Other than that we had a great time there!"

"A very relaxed and friendly hostel. Clean dorms, comfortable beds, excellent bathroom pods and lovely communal areas, small books and crannies for people to be quiet in and larger areas for social folk or big groups. Amazing location, 5 mins from Loch Morlich beach and views up to Cairn Gorm. Friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely go back."

"Stayed for a weekend with family lodge was clean and had all we needed, the downside was the service, staff were distant, uninterested and focused more on their own social lives than those of their customers. A suggestion would be invest in training for staff and new managers who have life experience to deal with customers and unprofessional staff. We only ate once on site but would suggest eating on the high street as the value and service is more family friendly."
