"Excellent location and beautiful hotel grounds. Quiet, green, great views, and close to the main street. The hotel staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. There were no issues with the Wi-Fi or shower. On the downside, the room was quite cool at night."

The Old Inn ★★

"I had a brief one night at the Old Inn but my room, overlooking the back terrace was irresistibly charming. The decor and appointments are reminiscent of a by-gone era with low ceilings, unique lighting, doorway with a padlock on the outside etc. The entire hotel is noteworthy for the “heritage” feel. Perhaps you give up a few convenience amenities for this but I felt it was worth it. The hotel itself is located on a “walk street” so luggage needs to be transported from adjoining street, but the hotel itself is located squarely in the middle (so once there you are close to all the shops and restaurants). I recommend this hotel."

Good Hotel and Resort - Hostel ★★

"Interestingly there are two Good Hotels , Two Old Hotels etc in Bandipur I’m guessing the owners opened one then another later. The one I stayed in isn’t the one in the picture it’s the other one but owned by the same people. My run was run by teenagers but despite that was fine. Not the cleanest but the room was decent facing the back is best as it quieter and the views are great. Foods ok like most places in the village. The bed was remarkably comfortable. Value I would say was excellent. Only issue would say as it’s solar heated the showers are cold when there’s no sun and the weather was awful when I was there. It’s in a pedestrian zone so you or whoever will need to carry your bag a long way. Overall good value for money"

"We checked in for one night here and everything went well. We booked three rooms for our family. The view and food were nice, but the cleanliness and misinformation were issues. Before ordering the hookah and old durbar, my husband asked about all the prices, but they didn’t mention the service charge. When we were checking out, my husband asked about the discount they mentioned before we checked in and why the prices for the hookah and old durbar were different. They tried to offer a discount, I’m not sure if it was 400 or 600 Nepali rupees, but my husband ended up paying the full amount from the first invoice because he got annoyed with what the caretaker said: 'Before eating everything, now drama.' On the way home, I asked my husband if he tipped the hotel staff since we usually give a good tip for good service, and he said, 'Why would we tip with that kind of attitude?' I asked him why, and he told me what the caretaker said, which made me upset too. Luckily, I don’t understand Nepali, or I would have scolded that staff member as well! Our main point is IT’S NOT ABOUT THE RATE! WE CAN PAY, BUT WE DON’T WANT TO FEEL LIKE WE’RE BEING SCAMMED WITH DIFFERENT PRICES THAN WHAT’S ON THE INVOICE! BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL & STAFF!!"

"Our room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Wi-Fi works smoothly and there is air conditioning and TV. The bathroom would not damage a shower wall or a shower hang because otherwise it is very wet around the toilet and washing basin after the shower. Breakfast buffet was sufficient and good, but was only offered with quite late."

"This homestay is very average, without the atmosphere described in other comments. The room pas wet, with dirty carpet, and bathroom was not good. Finally the price was expensive for this bad quality !"

Bandipur Kaushi Inn ★★

"Though relatively new, the hotel is built with a rustic charm to go with the character of the village. It is conveniently located right at the beginning of the village where you enter. As the village is quite small, all the points of interest are easily walkable from the hotel. Rooms are neat and clean and come with great mountain and street views. The owner Pawan is friendly, warm and well informed. This hotel is highly recommended."
