"We have been to the Down Inn three times now and it is a first rate hotel. Lovely big bedroom with spacious bathroom both scrupulously clean. Well-stocked beverages and biscuits. Excellent food including a regular carvery with a good choice of vegetables and some really interesting specials. Good variety of breakfast choices. Staff were all friendly and helpful. All this at a reasonable price."

"Stayed here for one night while visiting family. The room was clean and beautifully furnished. As well as a kettle, there was a fridge, microwave and crockery/cutlery. There are lots of places on the doorstep to go to eat or for a drink. With M&S Foodhall and a Co-op just down the road we got a ready meal, made use of the microwave and enjoyed it in the lovely garden courtyard at the property. Communication was great, Kane returned my call promptly when I needed to change our arrival time and was there to advise about parking and show us how the electronic access worked. The bed was comfortable, so we enjoyed a lovely night's sleep and there are loads of good places to get breakfast nearby. We will definitely stay here again."

"Simply outstanding! We've been meaning to head down to the Pheasant for a couple of months after hearing great things, so we organised a family meal last Sunday for Christmas. The service was superb, the food was incredible (the best roast in Shropshire), and the atmosphere was great. It was chucking it down outside, making us extremely glad to be in wonderful company in a great pub. My 4-year-old rated your fries 11/10 and ice cream 18/10.
