The room is clean, tidy and spacious, as is the bathroom. There is no breakfast, but there is a coffee machine with free pods and a shared refrigerator for storing food. I would say very good. I recommend it."

"Everything is wonderful. The hotel is next to the ski lift. The rooms are small but cozy. The spa area has a children's and an adults' area. Everything is new and modern, very similar in style to the best Austrian hotels. The food is excellent, especially the dinners. The only downside is that if you want to get to the city center, you'll either need a taxi or a car. There's no shuttle."

"Unfortunately the extremely insanely noisy music from the bar downstairs STILL going on after 10pm and going on for hours already has completely ruined my stay. Thumping banging music permeating and shaking the room with the bass. The bar is clearly more important than hotel guests. Sad as the hotel was very welcoming on arrival and lovely staff but this is not acceptable."

"This is one of the best holidays I have ever experienced. Before coming, there was good communication where the shuttle will pick us up. After checking in we were able to have a late afternoon snack and the welcome drink was a lovely touch. Our room is large with a beautiful view of the snow capped mountains. I was instantly put into holiday mode because of the vibe and ambiance of the hotel. All the meals we’ve had were delicious, meticulously prepared, and nutritious. We were with a toddler and they were happy to provide cow’s milk without additional costs. They even provided a crib and nappy pail in the room. The heated pool was so relaxing. There is a play area (Winki World) for kids and my toddler enjoyed it immensely visiting it almost everyday. They host activities such as cookie making. There is something for everyone we didn’t get bored at all. Some nights there was live music at the bar. We felt truly relaxed and enjoyed our holiday immensely. We truly collected a lot of ‘Wow’ moments. thank you, Winkler Hotel! We hope to be back again soon."

"Overall we had a lovely time at Hotel Petrus. The staff were really kind and helpful, with special thanks to Paolo who was our main waiter during our stay. The hotel is extremely well located - a 2-3 minute drive by frequent minibus shuttle directly to the Kronplatz 1+2 ski lift, which is a c. 10 minute gondola lift ride up to the top of the Kronplatz ski area and gives access to 100km of marked piste. The hotel is also a 10 minute bus journey into the centre of the small and pretty city of Brunico and the hotel provides you with a free family bus ticket to use during your stay. Worth going to Brunico in December to see the Christmas market. The food is very good, particularly dinner, which is a five-course affair. We often had to pass on a few courses as it was too much to eat. The food is quite 'adult' but the hotel was very accommodating for our fussy 7 and 11 year olds and offered pasta with tomato sauce, bolognese for them. Breakfast was nice but for me as a skier I think I would prefer the option of a buffet just to be able to grab something quickly before hitting the slopes. We had a TAL family suite. About 30m2 in size with a separate room for the children. The room was quite warm and we asked a few times for the temperature to be turned down (it is controlled at reception, not in the room). A/C with controls in the room would have been preferable - we had to sleep with the window open but that meant that we had to get up early to block out the sound of cars / church bells. Very warm hotel rooms seems to be a feature of every hotel we've stayed in in the South Tyrol. We found removing the mattress toppers made the temperature while sleeping more tolerable. The kids bedroom had quite a lot of noise from the lift operating and the cleaning cupboard - fine for exhausted kids I guess? Equally the electric shutters - sometimes other guests were messing around quite late at night putting these up and down for quite a while and this made a loud noise / buzzing noise. The honesty tea / coffee is a nice idea but it was a bit of a faff to sometimes have to go to fill up the kettle and then wait for it to boil in the morning in your pyjamas - a small kettle, some tea bags and milk in the room would have been preferred by us when we woke up. The pool was at a great temperature at the start of our holiday but it became a bit cold towards the end. Finally, only two male WCs in the main part of the hotel (basement near boot room and in the spa). Sometimes both were occupied for long periods - a few more available for men to use would be good. The decoration of the hotel is first rate, some lovely furniture and the styling is very good. Really nice Christmas decorations too! In short: this is an extremely well positioned family-run hotel ideally located for the Kronplatz ski lifts. It doesn't offer as much entertainment for kids as some of the hotels we've stayed at in the area (Alpenhof in Maranza and Schwarzenstein in Lutago) -"

"Have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Blitzburg and it's hard to imagine how it could have been any better. The Superior Oak Room we stayed in was generously proportioned and beautifully furnished in a modern style with traditional materials. The service was every bit as warm and welcoming as you might expect from a well-run family business. The restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was excellent, catering well for individual dietary needs. The bar was perfect for a pre-dinner drink, with just the right amount of conviviality without remotely getting boisterous. The shuttle to the ski lifts ran for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon making access to the slopes a doddle. The train station was a 2 minute walk away for adventures further afield. And the town is as elegant and beautiful as any I can remember. Many thanks to the Familie Baumgartner for making our family holiday quite possibly the best we've ever had."

"I stayed here over the December 8th long weekend to visit the famous Christmas markets with a friend. We were guests in the "Camin room." What can I say, everything was perfect! From booking on, it was all downhill. The property manager is incredibly kind and helpful. The property is right in the historic center, and although there's no parking space, solutions are available. The room is fabulous and spotless, the bathroom very spacious and modern, and the sofa bed was incredibly comfortable! (For extra comfort, we asked for that too, and I slept wonderfully.) The TV is also a smart TV with Netflix included, and perhaps other features, but that wasn't what we were there for. Despite facing the avenue, the room was perfectly soundproofed. It's hard to find fault with this B&B... if only some fresh bread for breakfast would be great! All in all, everything was truly excellent. We were even blessed with snow (which wasn't expected), which made the experience truly unforgettable. It's a shame that the fireplace can't be lit for obvious safety reasons, but that's a good thing, otherwise we would have stayed forever! 😅 Highly recommended!"

"The service was absolutely terrible!!! The dinner and breakfast restaurants clearly had plenty of seating, but when they saw us, Chinese people weren't allowed in. Later, Germans were allowed in. When we ordered a sunny-side-up egg for breakfast, we were lectured on how to say it. Seriously?! There was absolutely no service whatsoever. Simply making a request was met with constant rejection. Avoid this place at all costs!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — just a 10‑minute walk to the ski lift, which was extremely convenient. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was very warm and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is very quiet, providing ideal conditions for rest and recovery after skiing. The service was outstanding, and the staff were consistently helpful and attentive. "We had a lovely week at this hotel, thank you to the owners and staff. Where to start. The hotel is family run and the guests are made to feel welcome and comfortable right when they walk in. We stayed in room Paulus which was great, spacious and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Contrary to other hotels continental breakfast is served at the table, there is only a buffet for bread and fruit which we thoroughly enjoyed. In addition you can also order cooked breakfast for example omelette or eggs hollandaise. At lunchtime there is a buffet of soup, salad and cake on offer, served by the super friendly hotel staff. Now dinner is something else. This is served as a 5 course meal which is as per the italian culture. The food was consistently fantastic every day. You get to choose your courses for each evening at breakfast, changes to the set menu are possible and they cater for special diets on request. The indoor/outdoor pool and gardens with sunbeds are lovely. The spa is most relaxing, we would highly recommend this. There are organized activities like yoga, hiking and mountain bike tours on offer and electric bikes can be hired directly at the hotel. If you like to set off on your own the hotel reception provides some wonderful recommendations. We would return here in a heartbeat. Also recommended for skiers as not far from Kronplatz/Plan de Corones skilift and the hotel operates a shuttle bus in winter."
