"What a dreadful place. It was recommended by travellers & reviews looked good but the room we had did not match any of these reviews. It was dirty. The tap didn’t turn off. There was used soap in the soap dish, linen was stained & dirty. Toilet filthy. And a mosquito breeding ground. Single beds booked & only a double. Garden view was a joke. We couldn’t stay here and moved on an hour after arriving. A heated discussion ensued & he blocked us in until we had paid in full. No recommendation from us!"

"Room was clean and comfortable but very small. We improvised by turning the bedside table sideways and bringing a free standing shelving unit out of the bathroom into a corner of the bedroom to store our things. The hotel was surprisingly quiet despite the noisy traffic of Bundi. Building work is still ongoing but it didn't bother us. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They arranged an early morning auto to take us to the station which arrived just before the arranged time. I would recommend this hotel."

"Within walking distance from the city center. We were in S 2 ( a small suite). Large room old style decoration a bit worn out. Hot water in the shower. Bed mattress could be renewed. Wifi uncertain unless you go in the hall. Arrived yesterday but we are still hoping for some hangers in the cupboard. Terrible breakfast, "scrambled eggs" were made in advance, as well as the toasts, mostly local dishes and nothing was kept warm. Coffee machine broken. Waiters not concerned. Beautiful swimming pool."

"The staff are friendly, welcoming, and speak excellent English. The menu is varied. Spacious room with a charming antique vibe. Super comfortable bed. And perhaps the best bathroom I've seen in India. Great water pressure from a rainfall showerhead, lots of space and they even had toilet paper! The place is very well located to explore all the sights of Bundi. Excellent value as well. I highly recommend."

"The Narwal Sagar Hotel is located right by the lake as you enter Bundi. It has a fantastic garden where you can sit comfortably and enjoy a wonderful view of Taragarh Fort, one of the most beautiful and impressive forts in Rajasthan. The rooms are basic and clean, and the showers have nice hot water. The food is very, very good, and there is a wide variety of drinks available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are excellent in terms of value for money. If you climb to the small temple at the main entrance, you’ll get the best view of the city’s fort"

"Dev Niwas was a welcome surprise. A maze-like reinvention of an ancient haveli, it has a unique character and beauty. The restaurant is the highlight, with an awesome view of Bundi’s hillside palace. We ate at least one meal there every day, and the table service was very good. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but be prepared to contend with the cacophony of the city around you. I would return. I doubt you could do better for the price."

"The hotel shows a faded grandeur of what was once I think a lovely hotel. The imposing entrance and lobby meets you with a sparsely furnished reception. The rooms are dated including the bathrooms. Our room was interconnected with the next room but due to poorly fitted doors you could see through into the next room. The mattress in the room was rock hard and only one thin pillow is provided although more were delivered on request. Dinner was good the food was nice. The service was not as good as it could have been. This all said there was a total of 8 guests in the building the night we stayed so this could have explained the feeling of walking onto the set of the shining."
