"Due to a train strike, we had to completely re-route our planned travel from Florence to Pienza. We ended up stuck in Buonconvento on a Sunday night with no busses and most taxis unavailable. We came to Hotel Ghibellino for help. The person working the front desk found and called over 10 different taxi drivers until she could find one that would take us to our hotel in Pienza. Many were personal numbers, and we would never have been able to do it on our own. She was so patient and kind - truly a lifesaver! The lobby was also beautiful and very clean. I almost wish we did end up stranded here so we could stay the night. Thank you so much Hotel Ghibellino!!!"

"Perfect place, perfect surroundings and a very helpful host. Close to beautiful cities, however you need to drive. Whitin 15min you have a beautiful city, shopping and food. Lot of families where staying at the same time as us but it still felt as you where there on your own. Breakfast was good (not just continatial) and the apartments was clean and spacius."
