"The place was incredibly simple, the service was EXTREMELY friendly, but sadly the heating was not on so we had to use a duvet that had something that bit us all over. Since we already paid the reservation in advance there was nothing we could do. The place was overall clean, which surprised us with the bugs."

"Staff were unfriendly. Room extremely basic with inadequate storage space. Bed uncomfortable. No fridge or water provided. Room dirty around edges and bathroom smelt unpleasant. Extremely hot and noisy (road and other guests). I was also eaten alive by mosquitoes and other bugs. Breakfast is farcical - read the other reviews. I would advise people not to stay here despite the good location. "

"This place is a gem! It was ideally located for hiking the Ruta de Cares and other Picos trails. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was strong and the water was hot - very important after a day of hiking! The breakfast was ample and the woman who ran the breakfast never stopped smiling. We enjoyed the large lounge room stocked with comfy chairs, books and a telescope for stargazing. There were also outdoor spaces for relaxing. One thing hard to put into words is just how relaxing this place is. There is a sense of calm, maybe because of the murmuring bells from the sheep and cows up the hill? Or the bubbling goldfish pond? I wish I could rent out the whole place with all my friends and family - we would never leave!"

"I brought 24 mountain walkers to Arenas and we stayed in this venue for 5 nights , full board. Without exception it was superb. The quality of the food would leave many well established houses in the shade both for quality and presentation. Sammy & his team are to be commended & we will be back.Keep the secret . ‍"

"The views of the mountains are beautiful. The house is very well maintained, clean and cozy. We went to Covadonga, Los Lagos, cares route, Arenas de Cabrales, descent of the Sella. It is a very quiet place, they have wifi and it works and they even have Neflix. We all liked it. Thanks to Carlos."
