"A pleasant but very quiet location where there's nothing to do. It's okay for a relaxing time, that is until the music from the bar keeps you awake past midnight at the weekend. The room was clean but, sadly, I was bitten to death by bedbugs. The view from the room was amazing and the balconies are large. Breakfast was terrible. Couldn't find a bowl or a spoon, and no butter for the bread. Coffee machines broken. Therefore, I didn't dare to try the dinner! Parking can be tricky unless you park down the hill. I checked out 2 days early. Staff were pleasent but offered no refund for the days I didn't stay. "

"Our stay here at Yachting Club Mare was fantastic, a nice little, well presented hotel which was freshly renovated. It felt like we had the place to ourselves as it was fairly quiet which we loved. We were welcomed on arrival by the owner of the hotel, Giovanni, who was very pleasant, had a certain dry sense of humour about him which we took to very well. Unfortunately there was a slight language barrier which encouraged us to try some Italian, with the help of Google translate which he humoured and made for a few laughs. He recommended and helped us book an excursion to see the volcanoes by boat, and even drove us to the station in his personal car on check out The room itself was inviting, with air conditioning which was very much needed, a nice little balcony with a sea view. Breakfast was continental style and very nice, the lady in the breakfast bar was very friendly, spoke relatively good English and helped us with learning a few Italian phrases When getting home from our trip I had realised I had left my swimwear in the hotel room, and decided to contact the hotel to see if they had found it. Giovanni was very responsive in his e-mails and went above and beyond by kindly posting them to England for me, which was highly appreciated and couldn’t thank him enough for the gesture. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again soon!"

"In Sicily, on the occasion of Vasco Rossi's concert in Palermo, I decided to go back by car to my homeland (Basilicata). I have a package given to me years ago, never used, I'll try to book, it's one of the few alternatives that is concise with my journey and this hotel is precisely it. I book and immediately get a positive response. We arrive along typical Sicilian streets and in front of a spectacular view we find this super well-kept and truly beautiful structure even from the outside. It goes without saying that the welcome given by professionals of the trade is always a pleasure to have. Everything perfect, really nice and clean sea view room. Plus excellent cuisine of the highest level. I highly recommend. I will definitely go back. Ps: thanks to the owner's suggestion and his commitment to organizing everything we also managed to visit the Lipari islands and the volcano via an excursion."

They gave us breakfast free and let us stay longer for the hour the plane went out! Very lovely! The place well located and everything very comfortable and beautiful! We recommend it!"

"My partner and I had a great time! Very kind staff and high quality accommodation: clean, quiet (at least in September), spacious, equipped with the comforts needed for a seaside holiday. Everything was really welcoming, swimming pool, restaurant, children's play area! The closest beach is less than 5 minutes away by car (among the most beautiful we have visited in the area! Mongiove). The town of Patti (both Patti marina and Patti vecchia on the hill) are also 5 minutes away and very suggestive. 10 minutes from there another splendid town and beach (Tindari). The rest, Cefalù, Taormina, Messina, all more or less an hour or so away by car. I will return to take the boat trip to the Mongiove caves that we were unable to do this year right near the Midimare residence. Sara and Max"
