Ventura Santa Teresa
"This hotel generally gets good reviews but we were surprised and underwhelmed. Our biggest concern was the size - the rooms are very small, almost uncomfortable. It felt like we were staying in a college dorm room. It was very tight for two people, and certainly not romantic or comfortable for a couple’s stay. We did not enjoy sleeping in a bunk bed. With that said, the room was new, clean and had everything we needed. There’s also a restaurant on-site and a tiny pool. It’s basically like a hostel. Heads-up that’s its on the southern end of Santa Teresa and we felt a bit isolated. I might recommend looking for a place about a mile/km north, more towards the center. But there is a grocery store right across the street, and also laundry and a few coffee shops. It’s nice that this hotel is new, but again the rooms are very small and uncomfortable. I imagine it’s hard to find luxurious places in this small beach town without paying a fortune. If you’re looking for something nice, I would probably avoid Santa Teresa altogether."
Blooma Boutique Hotel & Kosher Restaurant
"I couldn’t recommend Blooma more! My stay in Santa Teresa was amazing. The facilities, pool and food at the hotel were all great. And the staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Not only helping me with my stay there but also super helpful for the rest of my trip in Costa Rica. 10/10!"
The Cafecito Surf School & Guesthouse
"Wonderful, clean and quiet hostel close to the city centre and only a 5 minute walk from the beach. Chelsea is a great host making checkin easy and making you feel apart of the Cafecito family! Lenin is an awesome surf instructor with small group lessons even turning into private depending on how many people are staying at the hostel. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone coming to Santa Teresa!"
Horizon Hotel & Yoga Center
"This hotel exceeds all expectations, from accommodations, to yoga, to service, to food. Even the location is perfect - not on the noisy street but only a 3-minute walk down the hill to the beach and many excellent restaurants. I can’t imagine coming back and staying anywhere else. Bonus - the owner’s two beautiful dogs; a malinoise, and a lab/ridgeback mix named Chill! Love having a dog to pat. Yoga is offered several times a day. We practiced 4 out of 6 days, both vinyasa and fusion. The instructors were excellent, and the view astounding! Up on the hill, overlooking the ocean. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. Honestly, while we couldn’t find a bad meal anywhere we went, the food at Horizon was the best. Fresh, wholesome, healthy. Lots of gluten free and vegan options. We stayed in the Villa Zen with a private pool. Brilliant! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a really well equipped kitchen (which we used only to make coffee and tea). Daily service of both the villa and the pool. Great, fast laundry service (same day!!). The people who work here couldn’t be nicer."
Aduana House
Nautilus Surf & Yoga Villas Santa Teresa
"Money stolen out of my room on twice. The second time was 100% verified. Hand counted the money before the cleaners entered the villa and hand counted after they left. 180.00 stolen. Remember to use the locking safe and video tape the belongings you are locking in the safe."
Dreamcatcher Hotel - Live the Dream of Santa Teresa
"Dreamcatcher is a small hotel but very well located, with gentle and capable staff, our room was very spacious with two gigantic beds and a nice balcony. The garden is well maintained and could be "experienced" in the room through the balcony. The room, bathroom, pools and breakfast area were always clean and organized at any time of the day or night. The check in and check out processes were easy and fast, with the communication starting few days after the reservation through WhatsApp and emails. Actually anytime we needed we could use WhatsApp to reach out for support."

Laloon Luxury Suites - Adults Only
"This was an amazing stay! The location was totally secluded on a private hilltop over looking Santa Teresa. Originally came here for the beach but after checking in and seeing the view, we decided to just stay in the room the whole trip! Everything you want is here. The owner was very accommodating from the moment we checked in to the last day when he offered us a late check out! We wanted to enjoy as much time as possible in this amazing place! The breakfast was the best we had during our whole trip in Costa Rica. Will definitely make plans to visit again in the future. "
