The Queen at Chester Hotel, BW Premier Collection
"I may struggle to say much about the hotel as I checked in, went our with my friend about 20 minutes later, came back, slept and checked out. I will say that the staff were very friendly and my room was clean. Only down side was that the windows are single-glazed so if there's outside noise it's pretty loud. The lifts are also small and you'd struggle to get three people with cases in one, but that's just a minor inconvenience. I was travelling by train so to be able to walk out of the station and straight into the hotel reception without crossing any roads was a big bonus."
The Seven Chester
Mill Hotel & Spa
"Service at the hotel was excellent, staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a snack (Fried chicken wing starter) which was also very good. I didnt use the spa so cannot comment. The location was excellent 9 min walk from the train station. I would definitely stay again if I returned to Chester."
Holiday Inn Express CHESTER - RACECOURSE by IHG
"We got a great deal on the price, perhaps due to the time of the year. The location is excellent, parking is £10 until 14:00 the following day. Good breakfast."
Moxy Chester
"Perfect location for the train station and townw centre. A quirky hotel with very friendly staff. On the canal too so a lovley location for a drink with friends."

Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel & Spa
"We had a spa day. The treatment was ok and the spa facilities limited and dated. The whole place was dated and not clean enough. Our bedroom was dated and not very clean. The windows were dirty and the double glazing was blown and the panes very dirty. Bathroom was fine. There were no toiletries other than hand and body wash. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was also limited lacking yoghurt and pastries hostage were helpful and pleasant"
Manor Wood
"Lovely friendly site but we went in February so not much going on. To say it was out of season I thought the toilet blokes would of been cleaner. The floors looked like they could of done with a good scrub."
Cbh Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa
"Super relaxing hotel, loved having the spa to use and the staff are so friendly! The hotel room was a little dated but you do feel you’re staying in a “proper” hotel! The staff looked after us so well and were even kind enough to put us in a quiet room as there was a wedding on one night, which we really appreciated. The grounds are lovely if you get chance to walk around!"
Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel
"City centre hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. No parking so use the grovener shopping centre car park. Didn’t have any food so can’t comment"
The Chester Grosvenor
"Lovely hotel and great location however the room was disappointing for the price, one of the armchairs was badly damaged and the other brown stains on the material. Sections of wallpaper were peeling off which gave it a very tired appearance. The iron board was also broke and we had to prop it up on a chair. The room we booked looked nothing like the images on the advertisement and I had to check with reception we had the correct room. For £330 a night I don’t feel we had a premium room, the staff however were lovely and very welcoming."
Chester Apartments
"Absolutely fabulous stay from booking to departure after being let down by a previous booking. Apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay with just a short walk into Chester. Hosts went above and beyond even leaving me a bottle of prosecco for my birthday. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Chester Tips Apartment is over 3 floors so may not be great for anyone with mobility issues and similarly parking is around a 10 minute walk away"
Oakwood Farm Mews Chester
"Could have been amazing ..lovely size room and en-suite. Lovely greeting and parking very good. En site cafe looked lovely and value for money. Unfortunately the room was woefully lacking,as very dusty. Glad we took slippers as would not have liked to walked barefoot on the dirty floor. Mold in the bathroom and damp evident throughout. The bed was hard and the pillows were very cheap and there was a lot of traffic noise so did not have a great nights sleep. Wouldn’t take much to make this a luxurious experience, by keeping on top of damp and cleaning and adding some luxurious touches. Unfortunately would not recommend and would not stay again."
Brookside Hotel & Restaurant
"Stayed overnight. Very homey feels. Staff are good"
Rowton Poplars Hotel
"The room was very clean and comfortable bed.. i will visit again"
The Pied Bull
"The hotel is an amazing old building but decorated quite modern. It has a micro brewery on site. The bed was comfy, the room was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need during your stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. You are right in the centre of Chester, great for shopping, eating and drinking. Will definitely stay again."
Travelodge Chester Central Bridge Street
"I stayed at Chester Central Bridge Street, having booked SuperRoom 403 on the top floor. I was under the impression that such a room would be quieter, however unfortunately there was what sounded like a heat pump above, or nearby, that ran for 24 hrs and made irritating & disturbing noises about every 8 minutes for a 3 minute duration. During the night this kept me awake, hence basically resulted in disturbed sleep. However, after complaining at reception, I was able to move to another SuperRoom that became available, a peaceful room thankfully. A refund of the extra rate for a SuperRoom was given too. Overall though this Travelodge is central, offers a substantial breakfast, close to a mini supermarket, on a bus route for the railway station & near a stop for the city tour bus. Although I recommend avoiding room 403 if given the choice of room selection."
Roomzzz Chester City
"The room is fully equipped"
Travelodge Chester Warrington Road
"On arrival, receptionist noticed I needed a walking stick. Louise advised me that I had chosen a room on the first floor. Louise asked if she should look for a room on the ground floor. Yes please. Louse found a room and changed our booking. We realised that we would only have one full day in Chester so, we asked Louise if we could add an extra day. Louise duly did that and we could keep the same room. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We were both a little vary of the breakfast box, but discovered it was ample for out needs. All the staff we met were helpful and cheerful. Akk in all it was a pleasure staying there. So much so we are looking to go back in the Spring."
Ba Ba Guest House
"We couldn’t fault this at all, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with high quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend to anyone and we will stay again on our next visit to Chester. The beds were very comfortable and everything we could need was in the room"
