"To put it nicely, they were kind, but the service was a bit overwhelming. I understand they were trying to be friendly, but approaching someone to strike up a conversation while smoking is something I wish they would think twice about. As is often the case with older accommodations, the room was remodeled with attention to cleanliness, but there was an unavoidable lingering smell of stale cigarette smoke. The location was near City Hall, but the surroundings were full of bars and entertainment districts, and the bus to Chungju Station wasn't very convenient. Of course, this is an issue the city needs to address, but... having a Styler in the room was a plus."

"Newly renovated motel. There are many car repair shops around. There is a CU convenience store with limited selection. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. There is no restaurant so no meals are served. However, there is a small restaurant on the first floor that provides instant noodles, coffee and toast. Taking children to participate in basketball games, the organizers recommend staying here. If it is really for tourism, it is not recommended to go to Chungju, it is too desolate. If you are on a business trip, it is recommended to stay in the Chungcheongbuk-do area, which is more lively and convenient."

"It was quiet and fairly clean. The room I stayed in had a plastic bathtub. They said I was 40 minutes over the checkout time and would charge me an overcharge of 10,000 won. An old lady with disheveled hair walked out of the counter and made very forceful demands, so I gave them the 10,000 won and left. My wife and I are going to ruin our long-awaited trip and never go to Suanbo again. If you go here, you should definitely be strict about the checkout time."

"I know it may not make much of a difference just because one person writes a review, but I think this place needs to be completely torn down and rebuilt. Hygiene, the access road to the resort—that is, traffic—food, and room interiors—everything simply doesn't meet today's standards. It feels stuck in the 1980s. It is a pity that there aren't any large resorts near Chungju, but even the Kensington, which is one of them, was the worst. I never want to go back, and I hope this place gets redeveloped."

"Pros: 5-minute taxi ride from Suanbo Hot Springs Station, Chungju Call Bus waiting area, numerous restaurants nearby. Very close to Lotte Mart, 3 minutes from Hanaro Mart. Large public bath in the basement. Local specialties and manufactured goods sold at affordable prices. Simple cafe, Sodam Restaurant. It was nice to just stay inside since there is a billiards room, coin karaoke, and laundry room. Water purifiers are available on every floor. Cons: Dissatisfaction with charging guests for the large public bath. Although remodeled, some old areas remain. If the floor is heated (ondol), floor cleanliness and the uneven level between the bathroom and living room were inconvenient. The reusable slippers felt unhygienic. However, I would be willing to visit again. I hope they pay more attention to cleanliness. If there were a bus that picked up tourists from nearby hotels and offered day tours, Suanbo would likely become more vibrant."
MUNGANG SULFUR HOT SPRINGS
"There was some confusion at the check-in counter, but the hinoki bath in the room and the sulfur-scented water were nice. The room was also clean, so I recommend it. However, considering it is a hotel reception desk, I wish they would dress neatly and maintain a professional appearance. The service from the reception desk was disappointing."

"Self-check in worked well through the kiosk, though we were lucky to meet some other guests who told us that the owner had told them to lock their bikes in the building next door, otherwise we wouldn't have known where to park. The room was clean with a good view. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!"

"The room has a cafeteria on the basement floor where you can cook instant noodles, except for the one that is not available from 00:00 to 6:00. There is also milk and bread during breakfast time. Overall, this is very tempting. Most hotels in Korea do not provide breakfast or require you to buy it separately at a very expensive price. This hotel can provide breakfast for free, which is a particularly big advantage."
