"We stayed for two nights with my mum who is elderly. We were all very comfortable in our rooms and had good nights sleep. Fluffy towels and face cloths, toiletries, tea/ coffee and biscuits replenished daily. Mum’s room had a walk in shower and the stairs were similar to a domestic staircase so she could manage with her reduced mobility. The food for dinner and breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent! But the Blue Anchor’s crowning glory is its staff, who were cheerful, friendly, helpful and anticipated every need. We will definitely return to eat and stay overnight again."

"Rooms clean and tidy. Heating in the room was loud and very noisy. Traffic noise from the main road was constant all night so wouldn't recommend staying in room 136. Although room was spacious beds comfortable. Food at Breakfast was lovely."
