Stay Hotel Coimbra Centro ★★★★
"At best, it's a 3-star hotel. The rooms are basic and dated, but fairly clean. Underground parking is available."
Praxis CBR Boutique Hotel - Coimbra ★★★★
"Beware, it is not a Hästens Sleep Spa anymore! New beds, average amenities 🙁 Still the old crew who tries to make up with friendliness for the shift towards being an average hotel. Our incentive for a stopover in Coimbra is gone unfortunately."
Zero Box Lodge Coimbra ★★★
"The front desk, both night and day time, were very friendly and helpful. We got complimentary beer upon arrival, their bottles are very cute. The rooms are very clean and the soundproofing was amazing. This was pleasantly surprised stay, I'd recommend this."
Hotel D. Luis ★★★
"Excellent hotel and good service."
Riversuites ★★★
"The staff was very friendly and proficient. The rooms were clean and confortable. Breakfast very good. The view was also very good"
Hotel Quinta Das Lagrimas - Small Luxury Hotels ★★★★★
"Lovely and elegant historical villa. Breakfast is very nice and tasty. Staff is extremely helpful."
Hotel Mondego ★★★★
"It is said that there is a parking space, but there is actually no parking space."
Hotel Coimbra Aeminium, Affiliated by Meliá ★★★★
"The staff and meal is so good. The room is very big and comfortable. We enjoy it a lot."
Ibis Coimbra Centro ★★★
"Great location, right by the river, and you can watch the sunset directly from your window. Head left out of the hotel, climb a very long set of stairs, and in about 16 minutes you're at the University of Coimbra. The main shopping street is also within a 5-minute walk. As shown in the picture, there's a paid parking lot nearby, which is super convenient if you're driving."

Solar Antigo Luxury Coimbra
"Solar Antigo is a must-visit in Coimbra for anyone seeking a top-notch experience. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and a stunning view of the city, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was my wife’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and celebrated. They even included a small cake with a candle for the in-room breakfast—such a thoughtful touch! The welcome sparkling wine and cake were also a delightful surprise. Their exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer service truly set them apart. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!"
Penedo da Saudade Suites & Hostel
"Host and staff are friendly and helpful. The place is nice, clean and neat. View from balcony is excellent, a good place to relax."
R3 Service - Five Senses in Coimbra
"Lovely room, nice service, the only thing they didn’t have an iron in the room or building."
Hotel Domus
"Especially in historic cities like Coimbra, I tend to prefer smaller, independent hotels to the big institutional “standard issue” ones, and I can recommend this friendly, clean hotel to anyone who shares this preference. Its location was great, being within easy walking of much that you will want to see in central Coimbra, and there are numerous cafes, restaurants, and pasty shops nearby. The bed was comfortable, the expanded continental-type breakfast was very good, and my room television accessed a variety of stations, including several English-language ones (not that anyone goes to Coimbra to watch television, but during the mid-December rains I encountered, this came in rather handy at times!). There’s still a lot more I need to see in Portugal, but should I return to Coimbra again, I’ll expect to stay at the Domus once more."
Casa de São Bento
"I don't agree with all the wonderful comments here. We had a "luxury apartment" for three. The design of the rooms is elegant but not convenient ( bath in the middle of the bedroom, glass partition around the toilet) The extra bed was in fact a convertible sofa in the middle of the living room, which made using the sofa impossible and the room as such as well. There is no lift to take the luggage up, the room for breakfast is small and noisy. The cleaning of the room was not done until 7pm. I gave some laundry to do and I had to wait until 10pm to get it back. And the young lady at reception obviously does not care much and does not know what a smile is . It is not worth the price we paid."
NH Coimbra Dona Ines
"The hotel was great, the service was excellent. They even provided welcome lemonade and cookies. The rooms were clean and comfortable, spacious, and had a small gym. However, they often forgot to refill our coffee capsules the next day. We contacted the front desk, and they refilled them for us."
The Luggage
"Beautiful building and spacious rooms Centrally located, within walking distance to main sights. The building is nicely renovated. Rooms are spacious. A comfortable place to stay in Coimbra."
Hotel Oslo
"Nice service Let me have details town map Great breakfast with warm environment"
Tivoli Coimbra
"Staff was supportive at check-in, but since I was there only one night, I didn't bother to complain at the time. Once we got to the hotel, there's a parking lot within a parking lot (!?) if you need to park your car. Odd, but that's how it is (and I called the hotel to confirm that I had a rental and if they had parking spaces). At the lobby, there's a distinctive old smell throughout the building, hallways and room, resembling that once people were allowed to smoke there. Bed is awfully soft, carpets needed to be changed about 10 years ago, A/C wasn't working and the drain at the bathtub was clogged. Breakfast was average to poor and could be way better, as you may expect from a Tivoli (not anymore). When I went to the frontdesk to check out, I couldn't find the parking stub, and they wanted to charge me another 10 euros, when I freaked out! Not only all the above happened and the receptionist being sarcastic, I was parking in the hotel and nobody told me about a fine if the ticket was lost. They ended up waiving the 10 euros, but my review couldn't be better than this - Avoid it!!!"
Coimbra Camping & Bungalows
"The middle aged lady on reception is very rude. We arrived to be greeted at the gate by the welcome. I haven't got any pitches. I explained we had booked in advance and paid a deposit, to which she tutted and rolled her eyes! She then shouted park over there. We duly did and went into reception. The conversation went like this - name, look for a pitch we are busy with groups arriving. At which point she scribbled on a map and turned her back. She was just as rude when we went to pay. There are only two benefits to the site. 1. Evora is a short walk away. 2. The pool is clean. However, it is the only thing that is. The pitches are like scrub land and many have tree stumps in them. The showers are old and filthy. Dogs bark all night, and the road adjoining the site is constantly noisy. "
