Monastero di Cortona Hotel & Spa ★★★★★
"It's a high-end hotel in the area with a beautiful lobby, two restaurants (one Michelin-starred), and indoor and outdoor bars. It's very clean and offers turndown service. However, it's a bit far from town and on a hilly road!"
B&B San Francesco ★★★
"the best economic solution but absolutely recommendable, clean and quiet rooms, excellent service, central location (practicely in the historic center and 2 steps from the Duomo); there are some parking spaces nearby the car but Generally park outside the walls"
Villa di Piazzano - Small Luxury Hotels of the World ★★★★★
"nice ancient building in the village. great service and food."
Hotel San Michele ★★★★
"Very good location of the hotel in the heart of the old city. Nice interior. Very good varied breakfast. You can ask for hot water for tea in your room. The fly in the ointment was the reluctance of the staff to try to help with reserving a place in the restaurant; in the end, we didn’t manage to have dinner at all"
Hotel Villa Marsili ★★★★
"Very satisfied with a stay, the hotel is good in all aspects, adding color to this trip! Have the opportunity to come again, I hope the hotel can always stay excellent!"
Locanda Agli Amici ★★★★
"What an AMAZING place. I RECOMMEND HIGHLY. The venue is picturesque and calming. The owner is from Cortona and VERY EXPERIENCED in the hospitality industry. We went for a lovely lunch that started with antipastos on the patio near the pool. We then went inside to the dining area and had a lovely four course lunch with wine pairings including dessert. Locando Agli Amici is a magical, calming place and I can’t with until my next visit. 🙌🏾🙌🏾💝"
Relais la Corte dei Papi ★★★★★
"We stayed in this splendid location for three nights during New Year's Eve 2025. The beauty of the relais, its rooms—particularly the elegant furnishings—the Renaissance hall used for the New Year's Eve dinner, the quality of the food, and the kindness of the staff (concierge, property manager, and waiters) are offset by some shortcomings that, for those who have frequented them, are unbecoming of a 5-star property: • I'll start with the most problematic and disappointing aspect: the sofa bed my son slept on, to whom I gave the double bed. The sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable, and you can clearly feel the bars on your back, resulting in a terrible quality of sleep. If we had known that a proper, comfortable extra bed was unavailable—as indicated in the email I have—we would not have stayed with the children. It's true that reporting this after the first night might have allowed for a partial solution, but one night would still have been wasted. Given the price and category of the property, this is unacceptable, and a sofa bed of this type should not be provided or offered under any circumstances. • One of the rooms of the family traveling with us had an exposed electrical outlet, with only a cover and no plate. • The bathroom in our room (classic suite) does not have a bidet. • Upon our arrival, the welcome bottle had been forgotten; the staff, always very kind, apologized and promptly remedied the situation. • A cup used for tea the previous day remained on the bedside table even after the room had been tidied, without being removed or replaced. It was replaced on the second day. • There are no coat hooks: we had to leave our jackets on chairs and beds in an improvised manner. • Breakfast was poor and of mediocre quality. The cakes were good, but the croissants were unpresentable, even for a 2-star hotel. That said, for those who have already stayed in properties of this category, we do not consider it a 5-star hotel. I do not recommend it for its quality/price ratio or for families with children."
Hotel Italia Cortona ★★★
"Ugly single room on the top floor. It was as if she lived in a dovecote. It’s not even like that, something between a dovecote and a cell. Small dark room with a view of the wall. The bed is like I'm in a barracks. Everything is uncomfortable. There is no stand for the suitcase. The View Room is only open for breakfast. Maybe there are better rooms. But I don't recommend a single room."
Casa Kita ★★★
"Charming bed&breakfast house in Cortona, Tuscany. With spectacular views of the valley. Full of details and a good breakfast. The guys who run it are very helpful and friendly. It is right at the entrance of the town. There are several places to park near the house."

Il Falconiere Relais & Spa
"Excellent location, beautiful environment, and old-fashioned feel. They upgraded the house to the largest one for our family trip. The first choice for family travel. I will come again next time."
Villa Borgo San Pietro
"We loved our stay at Villa Borgo San Pietro and highly recommend it! It is a beautiful and charming villa located in the countryside down the hill (10-15 min drive) from Cortona and down a dirt road off the main road. It was perfect for our 5 night stay. It felt like it was once a home so made us immediately feel that we were home. :-) First of all, the service was exceptional. We were greeted warmly and genuinely by Alessandra who helped us with anything and everything we needed to enjoy our stay (directions, restaurant recommendations, parking recommendations, etc.). Alessandra, Nicolo and Alessandro took excellent care of us every day to ensure we made the most of our stay and visit to Cortona. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed walking around them including the gorgeous views from the pool and the outside covered breakfast area where we enjoyed a delicious and bountiful breakfast buffet each morning (homemade breads, cakes, croissants, yogurt, meats, cheeses and fresh fruit). The cappucinos were delicious! The rooms were lovely and beds very comfortable. We enjoyed glasses of wine, prosecco and snacks in the hotel bar located just off the reception area. It is small, charming and intimate. Also, the location was perfect for our day trips to Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza and Assisi. We also were able to drive up the hill to see Bramesole, the home of Frances Mayes. It is lovely and worth the drive. We highly recommend this villa for your visit to Cortona and we hope to come back again soon."
Podere Casorbica
Rocca di Pierle Agriturismo di Charme
"My husband and I had our honeymoon here and we absolutely loved it. Calm and quiet but so romantic. The service is impeccable and the cooking class is a must-do! Definitely recommend this place if you’re a romantic, nature lover. Smart to rent a car since it’s far between places."
Hotel San Luca
"When I booked, I requested parking, a request that fell on deaf ears. I learned the hard way that there is paid parking available in the area, open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (including holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays) at a cost of €1.50 per hour. The green parking lot in front of the entrance is "we'll leave it free for them in case the owners come." Breakfast is very meager for a 4-star hotel, and punctuality is recommended (at 10:00 am they close the breakfast room doors and turn off the water and coffee machines). Rooms are very small, and the staff is forced to smile."
Casa Ambra
"The hotel is located in the heart of Cortona, with a beautiful view of the city centre, and a beautiful view of the city centre. My wife and I stayed in the "Passeri" apartment, all the comforts are present, and the apartment is wonderful with views on the main square "Piazza della Repubblica" and yet it is quiet thanks to the excellent infixes that are there. The owners are friendly and very available."
Villa Augusto
"Upon our arrival Augusto himself was there to welcome us. It was immediately like reconnecting with a longtime friend. His down to earth charm and humor was equalled by his attentiveness to everything and anything. The property was pure Tuscan storybook charm as well, exactly what I was hoping for ! Augusto's recommendations on dining was exceptional as well as many tips for do's and don't's of the area. The accomodations were EXACTLY what is pictured in the website. The photo I added was all ours for the entire stay. In short if you're spending time in and around Cortona (6 days like we did) ... STAY AT VILLA AUGUSTO !!"
Casa Bellavista B&B
"Staying at Casa BellaVista B&B was an absolute dream. We stayed two nights here while traveling throughout Italy for 11 days, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts, Simonetta and Guido are wonderful. Their place is absolutely beautiful, and feels very warm. It’s just so peaceful. My husband and I also really enjoyed getting to spend a little time with their sweet dog, Lia. We took a cooking class with Simonetta, and two other couples that were staying there joined us. It was so much fun! In addition, Simonetta made extra effort to make sure I had some delicious vegan options to eat at breakfast, which I really appreciate. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s wonderful, and I definitely hope to return here myself one day."
Casale l'Antico Carro
"Stayed in this farmhouse with my family and we had a great time! Warm, comfortable and clean! Below there is also a small restaurant where we ate very well! I recommend it to everyone for moments of relaxation and for a pleasant dinner"

Dolce Maria
"A splendid historic building, spacious and private rooms, clean and carefully furnished, a warm welcome and great availability. A strategic location, very close to the city center, very convenient, and close to free parking. Paola's cuisine, featuring typical local dishes, pampered us. Breakfast is a sweet awakening for the senses."
