Louis Apostolata Island Resort
"Lovely experience with spending a week in Apostolata. The place, rooms, restaurants and service is great! Most of all I appreciate Staff’s attitude and kindness, it was a pleasure to see how everyone is engaged. Good location to sighseeing, in the hotel if you like people, music and fun you stay in the swimming pool area and if you need quiet and relax you go to the sea terraces down the path. A lot of stairs so not recommended to people with mobility problems. Also not recommended to those who like to go out for a city night in the evenings. Overall amazing stay."
Porto Skala Hotel Village
"Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic 10 day holiday in July 2025 with our children (age 14 - 23). The hotel is so cute with all the different coloured apartments and the rooms are cool (air conditioned), spacious, comfortable and cleaned every morning with fresh linen and towels. All with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. The pool is just perfect, with plenty of space for everyone and always enough sun loungers. There’s also a poolside bar offering snacks, drinks (hot/cold/cocktails) and lunch menu. The buffet breakfast was nice and had plenty of options. It did get busy towards the end of service so we tended to go early and beat the rush. We didn’t have the dinner option as it was very expensive and with better, cheaper options in the nearby town we were happy to venture out for dinner. The town was quite a walk from the hotel so we took advantage of the hotel bus which ran morning - evening. You just need to book at reception, the staff were always extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. Especially Evelyn - she was an absolute ANGEL and made so much effort to ensure we were happy and had everything we could want and more! I would say it would be beneficial to hire a car as there isn’t much close by and with the temperatures in the high 30s you should ensure it has air conditioning! There is parking across the road from the hotel. As well as two stunning little coves with crystal clear water where our children enjoyed snorkelling to see all the fish. The water was clean and cool - so refreshing on the hottest days. Overall this was a fab holiday that I would recommend. Only thing I would change would be to hire a car so we could travel at our leisure and see more of the island and maybe go slightly earlier or later in the year when it’s not so hot. I also think it would be a great idea for the hotel to have music at the bar in the evenings as it’s such a beautiful spot. There’s lovely seating outside reception overlooking the sea but didn’t ever see anyone serving at that bar. With some music on and a drink with that view it would be just perfect "
Melidron Hotel
"Could say that the title says it all. Which it does, but doesn’t show the whole picture! As a group of 12, then 13, “senior” friends made over many years of footballing adventures, playing and/or watching, Wendy and owner Efie mustn’t really have known what to expect when our booking was made early in the year. Circumstances last summer meant rooms were rather unusually available as it turned out. Luckily for us! From Wendy’s initial greeting, & very helpful later advice whenever required, with rooms soon allocated (sea/pool view for me and my room-mate 😀), very clean btw and kept so by the cleaners, nice cold drinks at the pool bar quickly appeared, served by Theo and Aris, who soon got to know us, along with Costas who appeared later that day. All were extremely friendly, as were the other staff, and we got to know several other guests pretty well during our stay. We were even thanked for providing great entertainment (not planned!) by some! A Rock Music night was put on at our request (though some other music was included as the evening went on…Ernie??? Oh dear!!), & arranging for pizzas and chips for our last (quieter) night watching the England last 16 game. Special thanks from us all go to Wendy for putting up with our humour and banter, and finally Efie, who we didn’t really get to speak to until our farewells were said. Personally, I’d love to return sooner rather than later, but with my wife next time. A much quieter holiday then, maybe even with our daughter too (for Costas that one! 😉😄). Oh yes. Skala itself isn’t bad either!!"
Makis Hotel
"Lovely small boutique type hotel . I would say it deserves 4*. Lia the owner has done fantastic job refurbing the hotel.lots of return visitors we would definitely recommend & return here."
OLIVEMARE
"A little gem of a place to stay. Really quiet and peaceful location close to restaurants and bars. Calm and relaxing rooms with lovely toiletries and large private balconies. Super friendly hosts and staff. Breakfast a mixture of pre-order and buffet style. It was plentiful and tasty. Only little niggle was beds were too firm for our liking."
Faro Del Porto
"The owner was there to meet us and take us to our room on the first floor overlooking the harbour. Good size balcony which caught the morning sun. Lovely view of the harbour. Very quiet location but you really need a car to get about as it is on the top of a steep hill."
Michaela
"Average hotel. Old rooms requires renovation. Too expensive for what it offers."
Blue Jasmine Hotel
"I stayed for 3 nights with my 2 daughters in a one bedroom apartment and everything was perfect. Lovely friendly welcome even though it was late, a large apartment with 2 bathrooms, a lovely balcony, very effective air con and a little kitchenette. The pool area was so relaxing with very comfortable sun beds and always quiet. The breakfast was better than we could have wished for! A great self serve selection of fruits, cereals, cheeses, meats, yogurts etc then a cooked to order menu with the best poached eggs I’ve had in a long time. I did not want to leave this place. Such friendly warm staff too that always had a smile on their faces. Thank you for getting our holiday off to the perfect start ."
La SkalaVista
"Arrived late afternoon and shown to our room which overlooked the small garden and pool area. The room was large and clean. All I would say on a negative the room was a little “tired” and could do with a spruce up. Small details like a new curtain for the patio and a few little touch ups here and there. The pool was a nice size and never crowded. Breakfast was ok a selection of bread, ham cheese coffee and juice. Maybe some fresh fruit would have been good. The location is good a 5 minute walk to the beach and Skalas Main Street. I would say though if you want 5 star plus pay for it, don’t expect 5 star accommodation when you’re paying 2 star prices. If your after a base in Skala then the big village is ok."

Captain's Villas
"Owner and staff were very welcoming on arrival and very friendly throughout our stay. On our arrival met by Nikos as we walked down driveway, who simply took us to our allocated rooms, which was rooms number 2 & 12 in the white block of apartments. Once settled in we were asked just to go to the pool bar (when we were ready) to pay the hotel tax (cash) all a great relaxed start to holiday which continued throughout the holiday. The studios met our expectations, we had a ground floor and 1st floor apartment between our group one with a nice garden terrace, the other with a small balcony both with chairs and a table. The rooms were typically Greek in style, they were basic but very clean, basic cooking amenities There was kettle, toaster and a two-ring hob if needed, but we never cooked in the apartment as preferred to eat out. The bins emptied three times in the week and bedding / towels changed mid-week. The balcony doors have shutters, glass door, and a good insect mesh, perfect for a good night's sleep. The pool area was great, nice pool, not too busy and we always found a sunbed (which were all new). Pool bar was also very good, and a great place to meet others or just watch the world go by. We ate here at lunchtime a couple of times and food was very good. There was a Greek dining experience of which was first class, owners also provided a BBQ evening. Both events are not to be missed. We found most of the other guests seemed to be regulars which is always a good sign. We like to try new places rather than return to same place year on year but we have already booked the Eryphilli Studios for May 2027."
Ostria's House
"Lovely location close to Scala, beautiful beach within walking distance, apartments are clean tidy and have a wonderful view to the sea. The pool area is well kept and offers sun longers. The host, Sonia, was friendly and works hard with the upkeep of the property. This is a small lovely relaxing complex where you can totally unwind, I will return, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Ostrias House to all that enjoy a nice peaceful stay on this island paradise."
Efrosini Village
"The Efrosini effect..shes like a Sorceress that casts a spell and pulls you in, meaning you cant ever leave; and if you do its only temporary as you simply must return. Thats the reason most of the guests return year after year, and on every sunbed; is a visitor on their phones booking for next year. This is a place of peace, its tranquil, its familiar and its home; friends become family..and strangers become friends. Run by the lovliest of families and every guest is made to feel like the only guest. See you next year for another magical holiday x"
Astir Rooms
Dalasvillas SkalaAcqua
"Amazing setting, beautifully kept villa with stunning views! This is our second stay year after year and we extended it this time. Kostas and the team are extremely hospitable, available, attentive and around for our every need. The villa is super private and quiet with everything you need to host a family of 6 or 3 couples. The location is perfect, set amongst the most pristine beaches of the island and steps from the best bars and restaurants. Cannot recommend it enough!"
Reveli Suites
"The location was perfect. Outside the hustle and bustle of the downtown village, but only a ten minute walk to the bars and restaurants. Maria, the proprietor of Reveli Suites, was extremely accommodating. The room and pool area were beautiful, serene and private. The breakfasts she made us each day were custom and very good! Fresh everything! Would definitely go back."
Hotel Anastazia
"This small family run hotel was just as the reviews described. Anastazia and Andreas couldn’t do enough for us. We had a lovely view over the sea, breakfast was delicious and varied every day, the pool was a welcome cool down with plenty of sun beds and a bar for drinks. We were a bit worried about the hill to get back to the hotel from the town not being the fittest couple going but it wasn’t too bad at all! Thoroughly recommend it."
