"As we decided to stay overnight in Poros we booked in at the last minute . This hotel, facing the sea, has been recently refurbished and is a very high standard 2 star. Our room was simply but tastefully furnished with a lovely modern en suite . The breakfast room is very attractively decorated and the breakfast selection includes both Greek and English dishes. Staff were very friendly. The balcony looked straight out to sea where we witnessed a beautiful sunrise. We will definitely stay here again!"

"Short rating 3/5: This is a rundown hotel, which is a shame because it is exceptionally beautifully located and has a large swimming pool. Pros: + beautiful location and view + large swimming pool, no crowds + good food (except for Asian evening) + grill, feta, olive oil and tzatziki + friendly service + Whisky quite OK + There are no ashtrays and people don't smoke by the pool Cons - not cleaned around the pool, algae on the edges, dirty tiles, tables and sunbeds - neglected garden and hotel grounds - rooms need to be refreshed and replaced witth part of equipment - It happened to finish a meal before someone came up to offer drinks - The smell of sewage by the pool Dear managers. In comments from months ago, you write that you have passed comments about cleanliness to respective staff, but it is still dirty. I've attached some photos. This is not what you expect to see in a 5-star resort."

"The owner was there to meet us and take us to our room on the first floor overlooking the harbour. Good size balcony which caught the morning sun. Lovely view of the harbour. Very quiet location but you really need a car to get about as it is on the top of a steep hill."

"This was my first time to this hotel and Kethalonia. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean albeit a little tired. The bed was extremely comfortable . The buffet breakfast offering provided a varied selection of hot and cold food. The hot food was Luke warm so I guess an early breakfast would be my advice. The swimming pool was fantastic certainly a highlight of the village style hotel. The staff were always helpful . Evelyn in particular was outstanding. She booked trips and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble.She alone would be my reason to return . Thank you Evelyn."

"What a fabulous stay we had at the Blue Jasmine. From the moment we checked in with the adorable Sabrina, we knew we were onto a winner. 
This is the first time we've stayed somewhere and it be exactly as it appears on pictures. We were very fortunate to be spending 3 weeks in Kefalonia so our choice of hotel was extremely important. We stayed in the 2 bedroomed Myrtos suite -which was absolutely fantastic. 
The staff at the hotel could not do enough for us. Sabrina was just SO lovely and helpful. Always smiling - always willing to help out.
Every morning, courtesy of Yannis and Dimitris, our coffees were waiting on the table whilst we helped ourselves to breakfast.
Unfortunately we didn't get the names of all of the staff. But the daytime chef, the guy who was on shift in the afternoon/evening at the bar, the caretaker, the cleaning staff -ALL were brilliant and so friendly! Even the resident pooch - so cute!
The hotel is a little out of town - we knew this when we booked. The views are amazing - you wouldn't get the same if you were in town. Taxis were relatively easy to come if you booked in advance.
We have been home 2 weeks and are slap-bang back into work-mode. We miss this place so much! Thank you for a wonderful stay and for helping us make memories to last a lifetime."

"We had a lovely stay at the Makis Hotel. My husband, myself and my eighteen year old daughter had a triple occupancy room. Our room didn't have a view (side of a building where the air conditioning units were), but the room was very clean and modern. Breakfast was very nice, food from the bar at lunchtime was also very good. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is perfectly placed right on top of the beach and a five minute stroll to the main part of the village. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend as a great base for your Skala holiday."
