"It’s terrible. This hotel used to be among the best ones in town. At the moment, it is one of the most unwelcoming hotels I have ever experienced. We booked two rooms for family members who visited from the US because of the location and the old reputation of the hotel. It was a huge mistake because currently there is no inclusion and respect towards people who are not Kosher and it’s a disgrace to the Greek hospitality. In addition, the hotel runs as a 2-star and not as a 4-star hotel even though they claim they are a 4-star one. Rooms are very small, food is terrible and sometimes not even available at all and on top of that they don’t let you deliver food from outside the hotel and l won’t even comment about their “breakfast” and “coffee”. Highlights of this awful stay also include the rude attitude of the staff and the fact that they did not even provide water bottles to the guests in the rooms. They should emphasize on their website that not Kosher people are not welcome and they should definitely downgrade to a lower star hotel since they don’t meet the criteria to be a 4-star one."

"We came off-season amid bleak weather forecasts looking for a place to stay in Evia en route to the western part of the island. The drive uphill to the hotel was lovely. On arriving we were met by Panagiotis, the owner and manager who welcomed us warmly and embraced our children like family. Friendly, straightforward and just plain charming, he also gave us some tips for places to eat and visit nearby and later phoned the port in Agiokampo to inquire about ferry timetable for us. At breakfast next morning we were surprised to be the only guests, and were heaped with coffee, breads, rolls, jams, honey, joghurt, butter and more - all fresh and tasty. The rooms were like the host - charming, simple but with all amenities provided. The upper floor has full-length balconies with a fine view of Steni and the surrounding hills - we had a lovely hike up one of them - but even in rainy weather it was nice to stay in our rooms and in front of the fireplace in the dining area. The entire stay felt cheerful, homey and relaxing with more than a touch of 70's vintage from the decor. For those who want a five star palace a la Riviera - look elsewhere.. Very highly recommended by us, even or maybe especially in early Springtime ! Thank you vey much Panagiotis!!"

"This is our first time in Evia and Palmariva Beach made our stay so cozy, joyfull and free. We came as five families (10 adults plus 8 kids from 4y to 13y). First what i liked is cleanliness of rooms, both bungalovs and hotel's. Maides are there every day and your room hits you clean when you get back from beach. Rooms have great cosy terace so you can drink some wine in the nightime. Second, its all in one place - Beach, bar, pool, sports fields, kids climatized playground with one lady animator who is with them inside. Our kids use it as hideout from the noon sun. Third, dont worry about the food since its plenty and its pretty wide in choices. Besides regular 3or4 different meals every day, Chefs will suprise you with some new meat (souvlaki, meatballs, fried liver..) every day. If you aks kids, they waited in the line to get some juicy pancakes from the big lady who makes them best. If you wanna safe sorounding with lifegouards, soft grass and nice warm sand, your towels below oil trees and kids fooling around but on your sight, then come here. Yet, if you find yourself in some awkvard situation (we did) be sure that Customer manager and GM will do their best to compensate it. We will get back next year fir sure."

"This is a new hotel, built in a wonderful beach in Evia. Unfortunately, the beach and the location are the only positive elements. The overall experience was below expectations for the following reasons: Things started to go wrong since arriving at the room, finding used slippers left on the balcony and a used hand towel in the bathroom, left from the previous guests. Then, we noticed that there was no hot water in the room (so we had to take two showers with cold water) until issue was fixed. The TV had only 10 Greek channels which didn’t play uninterrupted as the signal was getting lost the whole time. The worst part came when we went for dinner at the restaurant. In the beginning we were told that we couldn’t get a table immediately and had to reserve for a later time, because it was too crowded and they wouldn’t be able to offer us a nice experience. This sounded quite professional, so we waited for the slot they suggest only to find out that, the property is full of families with small children, which in itself would not be a problem if the hotel enforced equal respect for the comfort of all guests. When we got to our table (that we had to reserve for a later time), children were running around our table, shouting in late at night (after 10 pm), and nothing was done to effectively address & resolve the issue. So, if you are a couple or a traveler looking for peace and quiet, rest assured you will not find it in this place!!! The restaurant service was also below par. After we were forced to change table because of the screaming kids, the main course arrived before we were even given cutlery. So, we had to send it back and ask the server to first brings us plates and forks and then the food. The worst part is that hotel management didn’t bother to make any gesture to sooth our discomfort and when we asked to leave earlier, they refused to return any of the amount paid mentioning it is hotel policy not to refund any amounts. It’s such a shame because the setting is perfect and the rooms are beautiful, but unless something is done to improve cleanliness, service, noise control and respect for all guests, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing or well-managed vacation!"

"We got married a year ago at the Miramare Hotel. A family member helped us to find the venue, as we wanted somewhere that all of our family could stay without having to travel to and from the main venue. We instantly fell in love with the Miramare because it had a very clean, homely feeling while supplying all of our needs through having everything on site. We have a lot of children in our family and wanted the children and parents to feel comfortable and safe. As most of our family were travelling from abroad we needed a reasonable price point for accommodation and for the wedding as a whole, everyone was so happy, and actually surprised at the high quality of the apartments in particular. The Miramare is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature, olive trees, jasmine flowers, and Erini the owner's daughter was so accommodating and helpful. Mary Pepe, the manager of the hotel helped us immensely with planning and organising, booking local hairdressers, booking flowers and anything extra that we requested from local suppliers. She took so much stress and guess work off our shoulders. We requested that our wedding ceremony be held down on the private beach, which was absolutely no problem. Almost everything we asked for, within reason, was supplied. The food was absolutely gorgeous and fresh. Everybody who travelled in from England, America, Ireland, Australia and around Europe was so impressed with the relaxed atmosphere and the attention to detail. We had about 90 guests at our wedding, and everybody had a wonderful time. It felt warm, and we felt very cared for. Everybody who came to our wedding wanted to come back to the Miramare Hotel for a reunion. Thank you so much for making our day so easy when it could have been so stressful. We’re now expecting our first child this Summer and cannot wait to return next year as a little family. I cannot recommend having your wedding or a family party at the Miramare Hotel more, it’s one of my fondest memories."

"We spent a week in this hotel with family. Hotel on a human scale, with very kind staff who take great care of their customers. We benefited from the Coralia club and the activities offered by the activity leaders. Little thoughts for Benjamin, Arthur, Youness and Iness who offered us lots of activities. A special thought for Iness who was in charge of the children's club, really great with the children. My son will have great memories with the host. We also returned to Hervé de Danaos who organized the excursions. Hervé was also very attentive and gave us a lot of information about Greece. A nice trip!"

Spacious, exceptionally clean, daily housekeeping, fresh towels provided every time. Fully equipped kitchen with large fridge. Bathroom with bath tub, hot water and washing machine. You can close the window lids and keep the inside of the house quite cool, despite the heat outside. Owners are exceptionally welcoming, kind and assistive! We had a great stay and we couldn't ask for more! Looking forward to staying there next year!"

"A warm, clean and genuinely welcoming hotel I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is not an ultra-luxury resort, and it would be unfair to judge it with the expectations of a large five-star hotel. It is a recently renovated and very clean hotel that offers a much more personal and authentic experience. I travelled alone as a woman and felt completely comfortable throughout my stay. I never experienced anything that made me feel uneasy, and the warm, respectful attitude of the staff made the experience even more reassuring. The staff were excellent—friendly, sincere and always ready to help. A special mention goes to the hotel manager, Dimitri, who was extremely professional, respectful and attentive. He took the time to speak with each guest individually and genuinely cared about making sure that everyone was comfortable and that everything ran smoothly. I also really enjoyed the food. It was fresh, comforting and homemade in style, rather than the typical mass-produced food often served in large hotels. This is a great place for people who want to relax in a natural setting, enjoy simple home-style meals and wonderful sea. Guests looking for extravagant luxury or a classic five-star resort experience may prefer somewhere else, but those who value cleanliness, sincerity, personal attention and a peaceful and natural atmosphere will feel very comfortable here. I left with very positive memories and would happily recommend it, especially to solo travellers looking for a welcoming and relaxed place to stay."

"Well, when breakfast is offered for free you have to inform people that the hotel is under the strict Jewish "koshur" diet... I learned this the hard way when I couldn't accompany my breakfast with things I wanted (nutella, bacon and more). Also, some days they don't use electricity for the services, so even a Fredo espresso in the pool is prohibited. His Jewish customers don't respect anything or even an hour of common quiet because they know it's their place and they do what they like... (I have no problem with the Jewish people)"

"We arrived in the afternoon for dinner, although we were hungry from the journey, 4 of us ate almost nothing!!!! Spaghetti like porridge, uncooked baked potatoes, chicken wings black on top and white on the bottom, salads like that without you understanding what's in them, bread like fenisol, all uncooked!!! The breakfast is simple with the basics, one of the two coffee machines always working with a queue of at least 20 people, At the bar, drinks of 3 categories, beer LONG and loved ones are not drunk,. Lunch one of the same. At the bar some toast wrapped in cellophane. Only the cleanliness in the rooms was satisfactory (well done to the girls). A! In the pool, 10% of the space is shaded and you pay extra for cold coffee!"

"This isn't our first time at this hotel, and everything is great. The only thing I didn't like this time was the smell. Our room had a living room and a bedroom, and the living room smelled strongly of tobacco, despite the huge terrace. I don't understand why people smoke in the room, even though the hotel advertises itself as non-smoking. Unfortunately, it's not. This time, we booked an executive suite. It's spacious and has plenty of room. These rooms are on the ground floor, and there are only five of them. In my opinion, the most peaceful and quiet place is the bungalow rooms. They're located away from the main building, where all the action happens (discos, kitchen services, and even a large bar near the lobby). Everything was good and delicious, as usual. Thank you."

"Fantastic family orientated gem of a place to stay, both the hotel and the self catering apartments. The staff are amazing and so considerate and caring of everybody. Beautifully clean- absolutely immaculate and beds are very comfortable, all with good air conditioning and balconies; buffet breakfast and dinner is incredible (tasty traditional greek as well as other plates) with much of the fruit and vegetables being grown by the owners on the surrounding land. Staff work very hard to keep everything pristine including both pools. Lovely touch is a tunnel under the road to get to the beach making it safe for everyone to walk to. Genuinely one of the loveliest places I have stayed. They made our family stay (15 people, English & Greek, aged 7 to 90 years) incredibly special for us all and gave us wonderful memories- thank you to you all from our whole family"

"A great place, a fabulous getaway not far from Athens. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay. It is definitely not a typical all-inclusive hotel with crowds and noise everywhere, instead it is more like a boutique hotel with comfortable beach sunbeds, nice music, and VERY friendly staff.
