"Stayed at this hotel regularly for over 20 years. To our satisfaction. However, many changes have been made that we do not see as improvements. For example, no more table linen. You now sit at bare (cold) tables. The restaurant has a very limited menu. The dishes are small and very expensive. During dinner there was a family celebrating a birthday with a lot of noise, speeches, singing, and that just a few meters away from our table. The price/quality ratio is completely gone. The service has clearly deteriorated. The standard bathrobe in the room (stated in the system) was also not there. We expressed our displeasure at the reception. The receptionist did not know what to do with it and hardly responded. Such a shame. We are going to look for another hotel in South Limburg. Too bad!"

"Had a pleasant stay. We spend about a week. The room was clean and the toilet too. Even though the location is very near to the main train station, it was not noisy at all. A walking distance to halal food and supermarket. However, we tried to book the room cleaning services but no cleaning lady came to clean our room."

"We were here on January 25th and were supposed to stay for 1 night. However, we checked out the same day we checked in. The reason for this was that we did not feel at ease. I regularly stay in Van der Valk hotels and always book suites. The suite itself was beautiful but the way we were treated in this specific hotel, Kasteel Bloemendal, I have never experienced. We were taking some pictures in the hall and then we were told that this was not allowed due to confidential information (there was some meeting going on at that moment). If something is so confidential, it will not take place in public in a hotel corridor. In addition, we are also guests in the hotel and we should also be allowed to use the public areas. I found this a really big disappointment, we drove from Brabant to Limburg and then received such poor service. I therefore do not recommend this specific Van der Valk hotel."
