"After the visit to the nice Ponte del Cielo in Tartano we opted to have dinner and stay overnight in this beautiful structure. It is an old peasant residence transformed into a beautiful hotel that combines the old Valtellinese culture with modern comfort. Walking around the structure you are pleasantly surprised to look at the furnishings, the ancient fireplaces, the most secluded corners. The spacious, well-furnished room with a beautiful rustic terrace and super bathroom. At the restaurant you can eat Valtellina cuisine. The sciatts are excellent and the venison steak with taragna polenta is fabulous. We also did some shopping at the well-stocked Galbusera shop next to the hotel. We spent a nice evening and, as has already happened to me, when I am in a structure near a thoroughfare, I also get a great sense of freedom. I love Valtellina, we'll see each other again."

"We arrived by motorbike on a Tuesday evening in May, with rain, everything closed nearby...there were no guests at the restaurant, but Mrs. Anna welcomed us with kindness and opened the restaurant room and the kitchen for the two of us. We ate a fantastic mixed cheese/cold cuts platter and 2 perfect rosemary slices, well cooked, tasty, abundant. The giardiniera accompanying the platter was excellent. Great courtesy, reasonable price, friendliness and excellent food. Thank you Anna. Elena and Gianni from Verona."

"On Saturday, December 20th, my partner and I stayed at this hotel in Sondrio. Initially, they assigned us a freezing room. After we complained and waited in vain for the owner to intervene, at my insistence, they changed our room. The room was 7.8 square meters! The gap between the bed and the wall was 25-30 cm! The bathroom was 1.2 x 1.5 meters! The shower stall was 60 x 60 cm! By law, a hotel room must be at least, I emphasize, 14 square meters! I don't understand how this hotel was classified as a three-star."

"We had lunch in mid-July. Two adults and two children. The menu presented was rather poor, in fact nothing for my children that was good, we were almost intent on leaving. They offer us a series of dishes not indicated on the menu as available and ready (I don't understand why not put it directly on the menu at this point). We took two Milanese steaks and two portions of fried potatoes which were separately, only these together on the bill at €42, a bad surprise when paying, given that the food, although good, did not reflect the price. Two portions of decent pizzoccheri and an adequate price. A portion of veal with tuna sauce, also in this case a good dish and a fairly reasonable price. Drinks (bulk wine, water and drinks) such as coffee are all very expensive. The service good. The interior is not as nice as the exterior (a little dated). In summary I reiterate the title, ask for the price (if you want to be correct they should already tell you, not even the customer). The food is quite good, but the price is absolutely not in line. Even though I have been there many times, I have never gone precisely because I had had this feedback from other people, but by force majeure this time, first and last, I was there."

"Whilst the hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, overlooking vast mountains and the lake, I did not sleep well as I could hear all movements in the surrounding rooms, the walls must be very thin. Also, I had a queen bed with only a single duvet and it wasn’t nearly big enough to cover me. So given that the main purpose of a hotel is to get a good nights sleep, I’m only giving it 3 stars."
