"Amazing little hotel! The location is brilliant, on a street 30 seconds away from the main square but so quiet you won't get disturbed. The front is painted brightly and you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a gift shop/bakery in the front. Each room is a different colour scheme and is a great, simple base for exploring Guatape. I think they do breakfast but I did not try it - I was out early to take photographs before tourist coach's came! The managers are really friendly and we communicated despite my lack of Spanish, much the same across Colombia to be honest. I fell in love with Guatepe and if I ever came back I'd book here without hesitation. Great value for money in a great location."

"The view from the hotel was amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, several issues took away from the overall experience. There is no phone in the room, so every time we needed assistance we had to go up and down three flights of stairs to reception. When we went down to get the Wi-Fi code, the handwritten note was so unclear that we couldn’t connect and eventually gave up trying. The toilet seat was completely loose, which was very uncomfortable and not ideal at all. We also had no hot water for our shower. Breakfast was extremely limited, with virtually no options available. We travel around the world and have stayed in many different places, and in our opinion this hotel is very overpriced for what it offers. The staff did try to make it up to us the next day, but since we were only staying one night, it didn’t really help. For the price we paid, we were expecting a true 5-star experience."
