"The room smells bad and the bathroom is dirty"

"Amazing Uncle's/Nephews ice fishing weekend at beautiful Ogopogo. Hosts Todd and Katherine are amazing people who go above and beyond for their guests. Well appointed cottages and fishing facilities, you don't want to go anywhere else. Thank you Todd and Katherine for a superb weekend ! See you next year!"

"Each detached cabin features a terrace where you can lie in bed watching the morning mist swirl over the lake, and in the evening, cook maple pancakes while gazing at the pink and purple sunset (the kitchen is fully equipped!). Enjoy a private 180° unobstructed lake view; you can take stunning photos of the autumn foliage right from the shore, making you feel like you're walking through a painting. Remember to bring a telephoto lens to capture the reflection of the vibrant colors of the opposite bank. A half-hour drive will take you to the Highway 60 Cliffside View Trail in Algonquin National Park. Hiking to the top offers panoramic views of the entire maple valley."

"We had the privilege of visiting this bullseye spot for 2 nights. The B&B exudes ambiance, history, and hospitality. And its location is truly fantastic! What a place! We were warmly welcomed by Sally & Jan, who made us feel right at home during our stay in the most gracious way. I travel a lot but write (too) few reviews. This is such an exception. One of a kind! The breathtaking view when you wake up, the steam shower before breakfast, the quirky quiz during breakfast (not an obligatory, no worries. This is where Sally's summer camp director side shines through :-). We found it very enjoyable!), Cody & Harriet, the local beer tasting, or the delicious ice cream in the evening with Sally and Jan, the exquisite special breakfast, the Haliburton Highlands... In short, top-notch!!!"

"I spent a spring weekend at the Haliburton Post House with a few girlfriends for a much-needed getaway, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cabins were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was great for cooking together, and we made good use of the BBQ. There were lovely touches, like homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived. We spent time relaxing on the dock and loved that we had access to kayaks. Somehow, we ran out of time to use the sauna. The property is peaceful and quiet. The internet and cell service were also excellent, which was a relief since two of us had some unexpected work to take care of. On a previous trip to the area, I had a chance to eat at the restaurant and was so impressed that it became the reason we booked a stay this time. The food and service were fantastic. The same warm and welcoming vibe carried through this entire visit. The staff genuinely care about the guest experience. Haliburton Post House is a beautiful place. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend."
