"I would recommend the Sindbad hotel to anybody interested due to multiple reasons, however these are the ones that stood out to me the most and made my stay so special. The hotel is situated in such an idyllic spot, with multiple pools and a beach, as well as frequent event whilst only being a short journey from both the old town and Yasmin Hammamett, you will not find yourself short of options in both the day and night. The staff from the reception to the cleaning crew also also complimented the visit, any problems were dealt with instantly and rooms were made sparkling clean at the beginning of each day typically whilst we were at breakfast. The staff who work along the beach throughout the day were also incredibly attentive and quick to help with anything too. Most importantly, the staff at the Schahrazed (main buffet) restaurant is what I will miss the most. I would like to personally thanks Bilel, Aziz, and Hafedh for how happy they made me and my family over our two week stay, from having our drinks ready on the table upon arrival every morning and evening to being so knowledgeable about the local area and what we can do, and also for how much they were able to make us laugh and smile along the way - these people solidify my belief of how great this hotel truly is."

"My stay was profoundly disappointing due to a combination of poor maintenance and negligent service. The room's cleanliness was subpar, featuring a broken sink and threadbare towels. Despite repeatedly requesting a bathroom floor mat for two consecutive days, my request was entirely ignored. The breakfast was equally unacceptable, serving visibly rotten fruit—a standard I would not expect even from a budget 3-star establishment. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel, as it fails to meet even a 2-star rating."

"Everything went well during my stay until a security guard, introduced as the "parasol manager," completely ruined my experience. The incident began when another guest, whose wife was sunbathing topless nearby, was apparently bothered by my presence. I had simply put on some music to relax. This guest complained to the security guard, who then asked me to move, supposedly so I could have more privacy with my music. I agreed to turn off the music without any problem and stayed where I was. Five minutes later, this guard returned to me disrespectfully, again asking me to move, claiming I was too close to the other guest. I found this behavior intrusive, unjustified, and very poorly handled. It clearly ruined my stay. I find it unacceptable to favor one guest over another without respect or a valid explanation."

"This was our first stay at this hotel and our third visit to beautiful Tunisia. It was, as advertised, a very beautiful hotel in the middle of some beautiful and well maintained gardens, and beach front, and a selection of outdoor pools with bar services. We had done our research and were not disappointed during our all inclusive 10 day stay. We arrived as a couple, on an early and uneventful aTui (UK) flight, but we were still able to be checked in and given a room straight away. The reception staff, Cyrine, Madhal and the front office manager Salah were very friendly and helpful right from the start and for the duration of our stay. Cyrine was especially helpful when we needed to arrange a pickup of goods held at customs for our departure. Please be aware that certain gadgets such as drones, meta AI glasses etc are prohibited in Tunisia and subject to confiscation! Fortunately these were returned on our departure home thanks to Cyrine. Our room was large and well appointed with a full bathroom and dressing area with ample draws and wardrobe space and all the facilities as advertised. In place of the usual marble flooring in the rest of the hotel, our bedroom was carpeted which we liked. For the duration of our stay, our house maid, Zohra, was thorough and we were often greeted with a swan towel sculptor and real rose petals on our bed. The dining area was large with wide spacing between the tables and we established our 'usual table' which then was kept in reserve for lunch and dinner to the extent that it was prepared with our usual drinks and bread and cheese selection. This was facilitated by the very friendly maitre d, Nege, and the super efficient waiters especially Bechir, Solem and Mondhon who greeted us at every occasion. The food was consistently amazing with good variety and daily variation of dishes...for meat lovers and vegetarians. The indoor pool and Gym were never busy as we had booked preseason. My wife and I are active gym users and the Gym was adequate for our needs with equipment for cardio and weights and also a large mat-working area. We thought more could be made of the large Gym space perhaps with some overhauling and additions to the existing equipment, but given that we were often the only people in there on most mornings, we can appreciate this may not be a priority."

"The room we were given was not the room advertised, it was very run down with a lot of rust on the bath, the taps were filthy to the point I used a towel to use them, the restaurant had a lot of choice but was extremely repetitive every night, the choice of drinks was diabolical which often ran out, had to purchase our own to get a decent drink, pool area was nice but not very clean, easy to get a bed if you were down at the pool before 9am, The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, Went to the local Madena which was nice but the harassment is second to none, made the experience not a very nice one, About 10 min walk to the beach which is lovely"

"Unfortunately our flight home was cancelled overnight,so we along with 250+ others ended up here!! Looks nice as you enter the reception, that’s it just stop there and head back out !!! Food is shocking apart from pizza which is just ok, 6TND for a water lol 10TND for a Celtia Tiny pool area none helpful staff in restaurant, except for the Liverpool fan who made the pasta dish,who didn’t like the Poles‍♂️. Rooms were like stepping back to 1985 with huge baths and a shower that if you put into the shower holder jetted you firmly in the face. Bedding was somewhat orange cotton with matching orange towels in the Bathroom. a three inch tv and lovely full mirrored doors to the wardrobe which led to Narnia I’d think. WiFi forget it doesn’t work probably steals all your passwords. Seriously if Doc Emmett Brown had pulled up in the Delorean I’d have thought I was in 1985. So all in all if you book a stay here good luck,with the nice looking reception you’d be fooled,you can’t polish a turd. Get us all home today"

"Overall, I was quite happy with my stay at the hotel. Pros: The room was spacious, and the view from the window and balcony was unbeatable. It was incredibly quiet on the premises; all I could hear were birds and the sound of the surf. I stayed for a whole month and was convinced there wasn't a mosque nearby because I never heard the calls to prayer. It turns out, this was due to the hotel's wonderful architecture. The hotel grounds are shared with two other hotels, and all the entertainment is in the neighboring 4-star hotel, so there's no noise in the mornings or evenings, which was fantastic. The food was good (I had half-board). Zeinab, the guest relations manager, was wonderful; she helped me out several times, was very friendly, and spoke multiple languages. The hotel grounds are huge, perfect for leisurely walks. It's located right on the beachfront. There are three outdoor pools, one indoor pool, and a saltwater pool (for an extra charge). There's also a fireplace in the lobby. The staff at breakfast and dinner were very attentive. The transparent wall in the bathroom was a plus for me; you could shower with a sea view and enjoy natural light during the day. Cons: The reception staff weren't super-service-oriented unless you tipped them. The gym was not free, located in the basement of the spa center, and consequently, it was stuffy. Most of the equipment was old. The furniture in the rooms was a bit tired (though it was clear that cosmetic renovations are done regularly). There was no comfortable desk in the room for working on a computer, only low coffee tables in the room and on the balcony, which made it awkward to work. There was a table in the common area, but it was dark and lacked a power outlet for a laptop. In the end, I worked in the area usually occupied by the tour agent. There are small shops near the hotel, and the center is within walking distance, but it's along a main road, and Hammamet's infrastructure isn't great (this isn't a complaint about the hotel, as its location is good). Conclusion: If you're coming purely for relaxation, I think it's a great option. If you're planning a workcation, like I was, it's not entirely convenient."

"I found Magic life africana in Hammanet Tunisia Fantastic. My Wife and I went for 7 days. The Hotel was always very clean, and our room was cleaned to a good standard every day. The main restaurant served good food which was self serve buffet but waiters keeping your table clean and getting drinks when you wanted one made the experience more 5 star. There where various pools which where very clean and entertainment staff at main pool doing a great job with games etc at various times. The beech was good, very clean sea with security making it feel very safe. The only down fall was there was 2 or 3 ppl selling cheap cigarettes and towels that could be a bit hassling. Hammamet town its self was ok but did get hassled a lot to go in shops etc so mainly stayed in hotel grounds or went on organised trips. Overall 5 star from us. Gareth and Fiona."

"Lovely quiet hotel , very clean and staff were extremely helpful. We went half board and didn’t realise this only covered food for breakfast and evening meal with no drinks at all with evening meal (not even table water), so we ended up spending a lot of money on drinks and lunch at the hotel which are expensive so make sure you factor this into your budget. My teenage daughters did not like leaving the hotel as the streets outside were very run down. Overall our stay was very relaxing and the hotel itself along with the food was lovely, special shout out to Hafedh for all his help in the dining hall! The pools and private beach are lovely but if you want things to do other than sunbathing your options here are limited."
