"Booking - Booking is very deceiving. While we booked a family room for which the room capacity was shown as 4 adults, by default the booking happens only for 2. Actual price for 4 is much higher than advertised. Deceptive Marketing Due to elections the owner informed that the resorts are supposed to be closed as per DC order but refused to refund the money and only asked to rebook at another time. Location - It is difficult to travel to the location by your own car from the main road and need good driving skills. The location it self is very scenic and peaceful. The dining area is very beautiful. Accommodation - The room had dirty water issue in the shower and was not fixed during the 2 day stay. The rooms are filled with insects and bugs like Spiders, slugs, ants etc. Activities Advertised: -Swimming pool - The pool was not cleaned regularly. The location of the pool is very nice. -Rope activities - Out of 4 Rope activities, 2 were functional, 1 was broken and the other had red ants in them so couldn't use that. -Mountain Trails - Highlight of the trip was the 2 km trek to the top of the hills. Person guiding us was very kind and informative. -Mud Volleyball - This was not offered or shown -Water Polo - This was not offered or shown -Shuttle - Not applicable to us but was offered to pick up from parking location -Camp Fire - not used -Trek to nearby waterfalls - 4km distance - The falls had barely any water, the place is filled with garbage and broken water bottles. Resort manager set fire to the garbage which made the place impossible to enjoy. Food - Vegetarian food offered was really good. Coffee was really good as well. The place is very clean Staff - The owner and the manager are very rude. The manager refused to take any complaints about the booking process or the muddy water in the dorm room and had very poor choice of words while arguing about the matter. The other staff members were really lovely and polite. The dog is extremely friendly and makes for a great trekking companion."

"The resort is located in the midst of mountains and forests. It is approximately 1 hour from sakleshpur railway station. The staff at the resort are very courteous. Once you order food it takes time for the dish to be served, but as per anoop, the cook they prepare everything fresh and hence it takes time. Although the taste is really amazing. We tried chicken patiala, methi malai chicken, grilled chicken and caramel custard. The breakfast spread and quality although can be improved. The offroading suggested by dhanush was a real adventure. The landscape and pool is good. Rooms are also nice, only thing is they should be proactive in cleaning in verandah outside the room, specially since there are light insects which fall there. However overall found a good 2/3 nights stay."

"Beautiful place that truly gives you an authentic village experience. From the moment you enter, you feel completely immersed in its charm and simplicity. If you’re looking to try authentic South Indian cuisine, this is a must-visit without any hesitation. I had the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of dishes—especially buns, biscuit rotti, gendada adye, holige, and naiyappam. My mouth is still watering just thinking about them! The rooms are very well maintained and add to the overall comfort of the stay. The property also has a Sai Baba temple, where staff sing prayers, and early mornings begin with a serene Go Pooja. Breakfast is served on a banana leaf, and honestly, I don’t think even a 5-star hotel can match this experience. An early morning walk here, with birds chirping all around, is incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. A special thank you to Asha and Jyothi for preparing such wonderful food on request, and to Ashwini, Manjula, and Lithin for their warm hospitality. I also had a wonderful time interacting with the property managers, Avinash and Paul. Overall, it was a memorable and delightful experience."

"If you are looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, to a place nestled amidst lush greenery, which provides home cooked pure vegetarian food, then Kadumane hills resort, Sakaleshpur is the perfect place. It has 5 beautiful wooden cottages overlooking green meadows. The cottages are tastefully decorated and very clean with attached bathroom providing hot water 24 hours. There is a well maintained swimming pool and they provide few outdoor activities like trekking. The food is very tasty. It is a perfect place to spend a quiet weekend."

"Could have been better as it seemed not very professionally managed. The quality of service (except the restaurant) was lacking. For example: 1. Old linen - had to ask to change used bed linen late in the evening, as beds were not freshly made for new arrivals! 2. No bath or hand towels on arrival. Had to ask for them. Again, towels were removed and not replaced after housekeeping service the next day and so had to be sought. 3. Both almirah doors did not have a handle to open them! so had to be left open during the stay as carpenter was not available on site during our stay!"
