"I booked a stay at this property and even insisted on paying the deposit upfront on July 1st to ensure maximum transparency. Unfortunately, on July 8th, due to an injury, I had to inform them that I could no longer make the trip and asked if it was possible to cancel the reservation. The property promptly sent me a cancellation confirmation email. However, as soon as I asked for the refund of my deposit, they completely ghosted me: they stopped responding to emails and provided zero customer support. Extremely unfair and unprofessional behavior. I strongly advise against booking here due to their total lack of respect for customers."

"We stayed at Costa Smeralda as a family and left very disappointed. The first thing that stands out is the location, which is genuinely beautiful. The sea views, the swimming platform, the peaceful atmosphere and the surrounding nature are exactly what you hope for when visiting Sivota. You can tell that this resort must have been something truly special many years ago. Unfortunately, today it feels like a sad shell of what it probably once was. Our room had several maintenance issues from the moment we arrived. The bathroom leaked onto the floor, the toilet wasn't functioning properly, the sink drainage had become disconnected, and even the mirror light didn't work. We asked for another room immediately after arrival, but none were available. To the hotel's credit, maintenance did respond, but many of the issues should never have been present in a four-star resort to begin with. It seems like the maintenance comes only, if the customers point something out. The feeling extends beyond the room. As you walk around the property, you notice signs of years of underinvestment. Outdoor lights that once illuminated the buildings and walls are broken or switched off. Gardens that were clearly designed with care are no longer maintained to the same standard. Grass is dry or overgrown in places, and many details throughout the resort look weathered and tired. What makes it especially sad is that you can see that the resort definitely was a premium resort years ago. Instead of feeling luxurious, it now feels like a beautiful property waiting for someone to restore it to its former glory. The resort is clearly understaffed and I feel sorry for the employees. I also want to give credit where it is due. During our stay, we contacted the management regarding our experience. They handled our complaint professionally and agreed to compensate us with a partial refund. That gesture showed they do care about their guests' experience and I sincerely appreciate their willingness to find a fair solution. I truly hope Costa Smeralda receives the renovation and attention it deserves. With proper investment and maintenance, it could become one a great place to stay in Sivota. Right now, however, it is difficult to reconcile the beautiful setting with the current condition of the resort."

"So this is the place we stayed at just 10 minutes from Igmounitsa port. We are staying for 3 days but wish we had longer but it’s on to Athens (and patisia) tomorrow. I saw this place at the beginning of the year whe I started planning and it was still available when we booked at the beginning of October and as far as I’m aware is open all year round. We paid £130 but upgraded when we got here to a lovely studio for and extra €20 per night. The owners came on Sunday and were very gracious and Giorgos the gardener/maintenance guy was very nice and extremely helpful. He is here all the time as the owners live an hour away. Each set of studios has their own pool and I just can’t say enough about the place. The locals are friendly, the tavernas are plentiful and excellent with both food and prices and there’s a lovely beach which our dog loved"

"Selection of this particular hotel for a relaxed vacation mainly due to location, 4 star category, and good rating. The price (220) relatively expensive for a double in my opinion but it didn't prevent me from booking for rest. The reservation was made by phone, for 5 nights. I deposited the deposit as requested by the hotelier with the assurance that we would have a good time. My review is based on the logic of value for money and secondly on the behavior of the staff. Arrival, then, on Monday afternoon. 1st observation, the hotel has an elevator but it is not working and probably not for a while. Of course, it has one floor and is not a particular problem, but for a 55-year-old with a recent operation on his leg, it might have been useful. The innkeeper helped me with the luggage. On leaving, of course, not even a word about help. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Among the consumables, a bottle of shower gel and a shampoo, without the rest that I usually find in hotels of the same level (wabs, body cream, conditioner, etc.). I expected there to be a kettle with some coffee and tea bags. There was a stove but no kettle or anything other than 2 glasses. There was also a free safe in the closet, so if you want you can take it to the beach for safety. We decided for dinner to visit the hotel kitchen. We were surprised to find that we will be eating at a table without a tablecloth and with multi-purpose plastic placemats. I consider it self-evident that in a 4-star hotel there will be at least a paper tablecloth. Food quality below average. In my place the pork tenderloin is the brisket and not a fiber-filled and indigestible slice of leg. At the same level and breakfast. Few options and sugary orange juice. For the above reasons, I think that the hotel is not worth the 4 stars or 220 euros a night for a double. An honest price would be at most 130 euros and maybe then it would be value for money. But my experience continues. Unfortunately for me, from the first day I developed a high fever that continued until Thursday, so we were terrified and decided to leave and return to Thessaloniki to investigate the problem. It goes without saying that for 3 days we neither had a vacation nor had a good time. The hotelier said he would do me a favor and charge us only for one of the remaining two days and even mocked me for not looking sick. I found this unacceptable but agreed to pay as long as it was shown on the receipt as an additional charge. To be honest when I looked it up I found that according to the legislation in case of early departure it is at the discretion of the hotelier to charge 50% of the remaining amount as long as the procedures have been followed. That is, after the initial reservation, the hotel must inform the customer about the reservation, about the conditions of stay, etc"

Korina Apart Hotel Kavos ★★★

"Nice structure but with totally inadequate space, especially for the bathroom (1.8 x 1.4 m, no countertop, minimal shower tray and with a curtain (!!??). Furthermore, when we arrived in the room (standard studio apartment for 3 people), a sign warned not to throw toilet paper in the toilet but in a bin due to plumbing problems (!!!). Very basic kitchenette (e.g. no saucepan to heat a sauce or milk) and on the table for 3 people there was only room for 3 plates and 3 glasses."

"Just back from a weeks half board staying at Mediterranean Blue Kavos. Penny and her staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble and service with a smile. 😁 The room was good and comfy beds. Good choice of food every evening and two pools to choice from. We had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing you again next year."
