Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota

📍 Sivota, PO Box 61, Sivota
★★★★★ 8.9 (47 reviews)

"Another memorable stay at Mövenpick Agios Nikolaos Sivota. Although most of the staff were new to the team this year the same high standards of service were in evidence from the front desk staff, the waiting staff, the guys at the Skipper’s Bar, the lifeguards, the cleaning team & the grounds maintenance guys (apologies if I left anyone out). Everyone went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic stay, thank you all so much. It always feels like we are coming home each time we stay. Just one item of feedback this time - the minibar. The policy is that the minibar is stocked on arrival, the use of these items is complimentary & any additional items thereafter are chargeable. This is a perfectly acceptable (& indeed welcome) policy however when we stayed in June 25 the minibar was stocked with 2 small bottles of wine, 2 bottles of fruit juice & 2 cokes. By our return visit in September 25, the wine had disappeared (with the excuse when I queried it that it was because it was a family hotel). This year the offering was derisory, consisting of only 3 items -1 coke & 2 bottles of fruit juice. When I queried the paltry selection at the desk my mild complaint was met only with repeated statements that these items were free to me (the inference being I should be happy I got anything at all). In fact that point is arguable in that the pricing structure no doubt incorporates these ‘free’ items. I would suggest that Movenpick review this minibar policy. It would honestly be better not to provide any initial complimentary items rather than the current miserly provision. Rather than being a nice start to the holiday it left us feeling somewhat short-changed. That aside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & look forward to our next visit."

"We chose a stay at The Costa Smeralda hotel in Syvota(on the mainland of Greece, north of Parga, not in Lefkada as location on this site suggests) having reviewed the location, feedback from other guests and star rating. We drove through beautiful Syvota town down a narrow windy lane arriving at the property. The property is made up of individual blocks of 4 rooms - 2 rooms x on the ground floor and 2 x rooms up a very narrow and steep staircase above. For travellers with mobility issues, this is definitely not a good choice of hotel for this reason and multiple other staircases to other levels of the hotel. The location of the property is good and as per the images. The hotel does have a great vista. However, sadly, it all ends there. Upon arrival we were directed by a member of cleaning staff to a small dirty shack / shed at the car park entrance gate. This was the hotel reception?! Our rooms weren’t ready, but the first check in agent offered to keep our bags and suggested we enjoy some lunch whilst we waited. We descended x3 staircases to a small bar / restaurant for a very basic lunch menu consisting of a Greek salad / cheese and ham toasties / toasted sandwiches & a basic pizza. The lunch was acceptable but nothing special. Along our way down, we noticed poorly covered drains, litter (cigarette butts etc) and a general lack of care and attention. A camouflage covered caravan weirdly sat in one public space. There were boxes and empty bottles piled everywhere. We then proceeded to the pool and, upon further inspection, noticed dirt, hair and debris and a layer of green slime on the tiles. The water appeared quite murky. There wasn’t any way I was going to put the kids in the pool. The loungers all around were all chipped of paint and my daughter’s chair was broken and dangerous. We reviewed the rooms after this and were quite taken aback at how small, pokey and basic they were. The hotel was marketed as a 4 *? They’re furnished to a low standard - perhaps as one might expect from a 2 * property. The furniture was functional but quite old fashioned. It proved very difficult for two people to manoeuvre around one another, never mind with two suitcases. Lugging these up and down a narrow, steep staircase was quite a challenge! The bathroom was no different- small, basic and a little musty / smelly. Otherwise it was clean. We decided after reviewing all this to check out. We spoke to the receptionist - who claimed her name was “Zoe”, the reservations manager. When contacted by *********** a few hours later she admitted to remembering us, told them her name was Celia and she was just a reception agent. This lady (whomever she was) was a quite possibly the rudest member of staff I have ever come across. After stating our reasons for an early checkout, she refused to allow us to leave without full payment for the overnight stay and when we refused because the hotel was in a very bad state and that we’d not even used our rooms, she bec"

"Had such a good time here at this hotel. I came in from the hospital with my partner and penny the manager spoke to us with complete empathy given us a lovely room because it was more accessible for my partner to get into. The staff too was so lovely and had a good time speaking with them as well as penny. The hotel is beautiful with cute cats too. The milkshakes and pasta was amazing and the service was lovely. There were busy times but it wasn’t a long wait until you could get your order or to speak to someone which was really good. This was my first holiday without parents and penny made me and my partner feel like she was our mum. We had to quickly go when we left our hotel so we couldn’t say goodbye properly but would like to say thank you so much for the stay it was amazing :)."

"Went here with my family and had a really great time. We had an all-inclusive stay for a week. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. I especially had a great time at the bar in the lounge, where Chestor the bartender was amazing, and Hope and Hercules were excellent waiters they really made everything special. Definitely gonna miss them all. The food was really good too, with plenty of choices and everything tasting great. I must say the drinks were amazing as well. The beach was beautiful, and the pool and view were great. Overall, the whole vibe was just really relaxing. Would definitely come back again!"

"The hotel was fantastic with excellent pool and proximity to sea. We stayed in the beach house which had great views. The house its self was basic but clean and comfortable. The air con did a good job at reducing the temperature to provide respite from the heat. The staff were exceptional from initial welcome to organising transfers from airport and to the port. We stayed for 2 night before our onward travels and would highly recommend"

Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota ★★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay overall. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and set in a stunning location. The beach, the scenery, and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. What made our stay truly special was the exceptional hospitality. We would especially like to thank Milica at reception, who welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness and connected us with the hotel manager, Emanuela. Both Milica and Emanuela were incredibly understanding and supportive, and Emanuela kindly upgraded our room. Their kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome. The only small area for improvement would be the beach stuff. The beach itself is beautiful, but during our stay it was sometimes unclear how some reservations were managed. A more transparent and consistent system would make the overall beach experience even better. I would also like to mention that before arriving at the hotel, we had a very unpleasant experience with the Grevena police on our way there. Our vehicle plates were confiscated over a parking violation, which caused us to arrive a full day later than planned. I spent the entire night in the car with my son, trying to resolve the situation. The officers were extremely rude, and one of them even pushed me away when I asked for help. It was a very distressing experience and left us with a very negative impression of the Greek police. This is why the kindness and understanding shown by Milica and Emanuela meant even more to us. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend this hotel."

"I am still here and enjoying a wonderful vacation. I gladly return to this hotel every year since the moment I discovered it. The view (overlooking the famous Bella Vraka beach) is fabulous—you simply feel like time stands still. The staff is excellent; the girls at the reception helped me with everything I needed. Thank you to the kitchen ladies for the breakfast and to the cleaning ladies who do their best every day to ensure guests are satisfied. Everyone wants you to feel at home. It is a hotel with a small number of rooms, but it is very welcoming. You can go straight down to the sea, where there is a deck with sun loungers, and an infinity pool where you can cool off with a great drink."

"A nice, family-owned hotel in Kavos, Corfu. A pretty big hotel, with a beautiful pool to cool down. Atmosphere was extremely friendly and felt at home. The hotel bedrooms could use a touch-up or two, mainly the bathroom and kitchen. Besides that, the rooms were clean, and we heard zero noise from near by rooms. Food was mouth-watering, and even had a mini-shop to gaze at. The owners, (Vassilis and Panayota) were extremely helpful. The planning area is more on the summer season and tourism oriented."

Elix, Mar-Bella Collection ★★★★★
"We spent 7 nights on the Premium All Inclusive package at Elix Mar-Bella and honestly couldn’t recommend it more. As a couple in our mid-20s, it was the perfect relaxing getaway. I’m usually quite sceptical about all-inclusive holidays because food and service can sometimes feel average, but the quality here exceeded our expectations. The Room Our room was really spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels every day. The bathroom was fully stocked with lovely shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, plus robes and slippers were refreshed too. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were honestly some of the best we’ve had in a hotel. We chose a pool room with a sea view and it was 100% worth paying extra for — having our own pool made the holiday feel much more private and luxurious, especially as there were quite a few families staying at the hotel during May. The minibar was fully stocked and included in our package throughout the 7 days we were there, which was a really nice touch. I believe there is normally a restocking fee, so definitely worth checking depending on your package. The Food The food was great. The quality and variety across the buffet and restaurants were amazing, and everything felt fresh and high-end rather than your typical all-inclusive food. Every night had a different theme however consistently had fresh grilled chicken salads, pastas potatoes, and veggie options too. There was also fresh fruit with every meal. During our stay we were able to dine at three different restaurants within the hotel, plus we had a “dine out” experience included where we ate at a lovely seaside restaurant nearby — all included in the package. We didn’t need to spend a penny extra the entire trip. There was also unlimited ice cream throughout the day and the option to have lunch at either of the restaurants instead of the buffet, which we really appreciated. Service across the hotel was consistently excellent and all the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. We were also able to order bottles of wine, cocktails, coffees all at no extra cost. Extras & Activities We also received 30 minutes of complimentary beach watersports per day, which was a really nice extra so we did kayaking one of the days. There were always plenty of loungers available whether you wanted to relax by the pool or at the beach. One thing worth noting is that the beach is stony and the sea could be slightly rough at times, but the water was beautiful, crystal clear and definitely still worth swimming in. There were loads of activities included too — we played tennis, joined a yoga session, and there were also options for the gym, sauna, Pilates, running clubs and more, all included within the package. The WiFi also worked well throughout the whole hotel, including around the pool and beach areas, which we didn’t expect. Special shoutout to Anna who looked after us poolside during our stay — she was amazing. She constantly top"

Saint Peter Bay Aparthotel ★★★
"It feels like a highway motel, as a busy road passes in front of the "studios." The rooms are run-down and furnished cheaply (shower curtain, 1970s-era toilets and faucets, and only two electrical outlets in the entire room). The pool is dirty, the floor is slippery, and many of the loungers are broken. The beach area is poorly maintained; there are ants everywhere, and the clutter is very untidy. It's cheap, but it's little consolation."
