"Structure with five swimming pools with thermal water of different temperatures as well as a spa and a wellness centre, immersed in a lush garden which in this period, May, is an explosion of colors and scents. Impeccable and very friendly reception, very attentive and helpful staff for every need. our room was a superior double with a balcony facing south overlooking the large swimming pool. Breakfast with a very wide and quality offering, the same goes for the buffet lunch. My only regret was having only stayed a few days. It is definitely worth returning and recommending."

"A nice, functional, and semi-central hotel. The room is small but has all the comforts, as does the bathroom; it's a shame the shower is too small. The spa has a pool with an efficient hydromassage. The restaurant is spacious and the food is good. Service is prompt. Unfortunately, a bottle of water costs €3.50 and a modest glass of wine costs a whopping €6. The cost wasn't disclosed beforehand, as the daily menu only lists the dishes to order. A little more transparency wouldn't hurt."

The hotel is dated, but clean and well-maintained, with space and amenities for everyone. The lobby has been completely renovated with bright colors and spacious, well-maintained spaces. We thank all the staff for their exquisite hospitality, especially our competent mud cleaner, Mr. Ciro, and all the dining room staff, who were always courteous. "WE WERE ATTRACTED BY THE CENTRAL POSITION OF THE HOTEL AND BY THE FACT THAT IT IS A FOUR STAR HOTEL, IN ORDER TO VISIT ISCHIA WE DECIDED TO BEAR THE COST OF 300 EUROS PER NIGHT FOR A DOUBLE ROOM WITH HALF BOARD. UNFORTUNATELY WE WERE NEGATIVELY SURPRISED BY THE POORNESS OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED. THERE ARE NO AGREEMENTS WITH BEACHES AND/OR THERMAL PARKS. THE POOL IS REALLY SMALL AND NEEDS IMMEDIATE DISINFESTATION, MOSQUITOES AND FLIES OVERPOPULATE AND PROLIFERATE FREELY IN THAT AREA. THE DINNER IS POOR, THE QUALITY NOT OF THE BEST, IT WOULD BE ENOUGH TO THROW A LITTLE SMOKE IN THE EYES OF THE CUSTOMERS, STRENGTHENING IT WITH AT LEAST A BUFFET OF VEGETABLES, SINCE THE POLICY OF SAVINGS MAINLY APPLIES IN THIS STRUCTURE. THE SERVICE AT THE TABLES IS VERY SLOW, IN THESE TERMS IT HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED THAT DINNER UNFORTUNATELY IS NOT THE BEST. A REAL SIN, SOME MORE ATTENTION WOULD BE ENOUGH TO IMPROVE EVERYTHING WITHOUT RAISING MANAGEMENT COSTS, ALSO BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE LOOKS WELL EXTERNALLY. CLEANING IN GENERAL GOOD. WE HOPE TO RETURN TO ISCHIA SOON, BUT I DOUBT THAT WE WILL RETURN TO THIS HOTEL."

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, the pool and jacuzzi always clean. If you rent a car or scooter (Rosario helped with this as well) there is free parking behind the hotel. The rooms are spotless and come with basic amenities. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt at ease as soon as we met Rosario! We would love to come back, thank you so much."

"Hotel Solemar is situated along the chain of family beach clubs of Ischia Porto's waterside, in a relatively quiet neighborhood 3-5 minutes walk from the promenade of shops and restaurants that thrive every summer evening. We had a single room facing a tranquil garden lane, and a double room with a large balcony overlooking the beach. Both rooms were spacious enough to accomodate luggage. Wifi in the single was slow, but the oceanview double had flawless wifi; both rooms had excellent cable with many channels, mostly in Italian, of course. The breakfast was better than most hotels, and the daytime front desk staff and housekeeping ladies exerted themselves to be helpful. PROS: -Location! 10 minute walk to ferry/boat docks, 20 minute walk to Castel Aragonese -Pool, beach clubs ($), big seaside balconies available ($) -Breakfast buffet; lobby bar; friendly, helpful staff -Excellent individual air conditioners CONS: -Smaller size showers in some rooms (e.g., tight fits for "super-sized" North Americas) -Rust and wear-and-tear appropriate to a moderate priced, beachfront family hotel"

A printed brochure would easily take care of this. -Wifi is on par with airplanes (exaggerated). -Could use general maintenance on some of the pool / spa facilities (broken / weak pool jets)"

"I stayed in this splendid hotel for a few days, but they were enough to rate it as excellent. I had already stayed in Ischia in the past but I had not found the quality of services that I found in this place in others. The room was on the ground floor, three comfortable beds, a nice large bathroom, nice shower and large mirror. Comfortable terrace, too bad they don't provide a clothesline. Professional and kind staff. Particular praise to the maitre. Excellent cuisine, from breakfast to dinner. The outdoor pool is pure relaxation, the surrounding plants are beautiful and the lifeguard, Umberto, is really nice. Another gem are the spas. I have never found crowds and the cleanliness is excellent. Everything organized in the best way. The location of the hotel should not be underestimated. About 3 minutes walk and yes it is on the central street. It is two bus stops away from the port but for those who love walking it is possible to make the journey in 10/15 minutes. The price is excellent considering the high season and the services of a 4 star. I will definitely come back."

"This year too we went to the Aurora park and we feel at home. They are all kind and helpful. From the ladies on the floors, to the lounge and reception staff. The only flaw this year was the cuisine left something to be desired. Starting with the morning desserts they were always cold almost frozen, we pointed this out to the maítre several times but to no avail even the pasta was sometimes raw at lunch or dinner, the evening vegetable buffet if you arrived a little later you couldn't find anything left and it wasn't being replenished. This year the maítre Fausto was missed for his friendliness and courtesy. For everything else it was a pleasant holiday. I hope I can return next year. Thanks for everything."

"We stayed a week in June this year after the experience in July 2020. We were also satisfied with the change of management. Welcoming staff available for any request. Very good breakfast with sweet and savory foods. The rooms are spartan but with everything you need, comfortable mattresses and beds. A negative note is the shower a little small and the annoying mosquitoes. In addition, since our room was on the street side, we could sometimes hear the people below us, in the garden, even late at night (between one and two). We could still go back"
