Longting courtyard is without a doubt the best place to stay if you want to be the first person on fanjingshan in the morning. The hotel is actually inside the park. The hotel is owned by a couple who are incredibly helpful and kind. The husband drove us to get tickets the night before, and the wife drove us to help find a van back to Tongren railway station. They will wake you up at 5:30 am to make sure you get on the mountain. We did not eat any meals at the hotel, since there are many restaurants nearby. Would stay again.

I came to Guizhou because of Guizhou cuisine and decided to go to Fanjing Mountain at the last minute. The hotel is fully equipped with all the equipment, including hiking poles, raincoats, sunglasses, cotton coats, and gloves (very suitable for us who didn’t bring anything).
