Elite City Resort ★★★★
"The location was very convenient for access to the city center, while being right on the beach."
Grand Hotel Kalamata ★★★★★
Hotel Ostria ★★★
"Perfect spot, right on the beachfront, in the heart of the city! Everything you may need, (market, taverns, bars, etc), it's within walking distance. Breathtaking views of the Kalamata beach. Most polite and friendly staff! Clean, spacious rooms, well air-conditioned, with basic renovation and basic breakfast. Visited mid-September."
Rex Hotel ★★★★
"We have stayed at the Rex a few times over the years and have been more than satisfied on every occasion. Our room on the 4th floor was on the corner of the building and was flooded with light. The bed was comfortable and the room scrupulously clean. The staff on reception were most helpful in every way. Once I asked where I might buy an English newspaper and the gentleman on the desk not only gave me the information he then rang the shop to check they had one. He then took me outside to show me exactly where the shop was. Breakfast provided an excellent choice and the ladies looking after the room were constantly refilling the platters to ensure there was enough. A particular plus in this hotel is that bar prices are normal and not grossly inflated as in so many other places. We often encountered locals enjoying their morning coffee or evening drink both in the bar and at the tables outside. The hotel is well placed for visiting everything in Kalamata. We enjoyed this visit every bit as much as our earlier visits and we are very grateful to all the staff who provide a wonderful service."
Evripidou 7 - Kalamata Mediterranean Suites ★★★★
Grecotel Filoxenia ★★★★★
"A beautiful hotel with three pools and access to a private pebble beach with the clearest water. All the staff are very welcoming and glad to help with even the smallest detail to ensure you enjoy your stay. On reception Mary was a star when she found us a perfect room. Breakfast was a delight beside olive and lemon trees and garden walks after dinner in the evening sunset. This hotel is a delight."
Akti Taygetos - Conference Resort ★★★★
"Very comfortable hotel. Good rooms, decent breakfast, comfortable beds. But a very small beach on the sea. And everything would be good, but on the second day of our stay, a large group of children arrived at the hotel. And the hotel turned into a children's camp. If the children were on the beach, there were no places for other guests anymore. If the children were at the pool, the same story. And where there are many children, it is always very noisy."
Pharae Palace ★★★★
"Location is perfectly located walking distance to all shops and restaurants along ocean side. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The restaurant up stairs is absolutely stunning with the views of ocean. Highly recommend this hotel."
Ira-Hpa Hotel ★★★★
"The best hotel we stayed at- the family that owns this hotel has thoughtfully created a space that is both peaceful and centrally located for a wonderful stay in Kalamata. The room was thoughtfully laid out and quiet, with a small balcony. The bed was comfortable and the in-room amenities appreciated. Breakfast was lovely and served in the reception area of what used to be a hospital/birthing pavilion. This is an amazing hotel which repurposed the space beautifully."

Mantinia Bay Hotel
"Wonderful hotel across the road from the pebble shore. We were given a big studio with a small kitchen (a 2 burner stove, small refrigerator) table with 4 chairs and a desk area. No usb ports that I found; a few electrical plugs. Huge bed, lots of windows and a patio out one side and the pool with lounges, tables and chairs in front of us. A view across to the sea. The shower area is big and has lots of hot water. The breakfast was wonderful and could be brought to your room or served by the pool. As it's April and too early in the season, the pool is empty. The front desk personnel is friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We dropped in without a reservation and he offered to show me the room and gave a good price 70€ or 80€ with breakfast (2 people). We stayed 2 nights. I'd recommend this hotel!"
Belvedere Hotel
"This place reflects its place. Humble, kind and generous. The rooms are well appointed without being pretentious. It is nestles in the hills above a small quaint beach town. Yet has the quiet sophistication of being our a small city. A reasonable drive from much Greek history - great location to day trip from."
Panellinion Luxury Rooms
"We booked a three night stay at this hotel between 10-13 August. When we arrived the room was in a filthy state as you can see in the pictures. The bathroom and the walls were full of mould and the room had an unbearable smell and in complete disregard of any hygienic protocols. We were forced to find alternative accommodation and our holidays at Kalamata were totally ruined. The staff at reception were very rude and when asked to speak to the manager the receptionist refused as ‘the hotel is a LTD company and we don’t have the right as consumers to speak to management’ (!). The hotel denied the state of the room and refused to give us a refund as ‘the room was locked on our booking and they could not rent it to someone else’. However, when we returned on the 12th and asked to see the room again, we were denied entry as the room was already rented to someone else. In other words, the hotel got their money twice and still refused to give a refund. Would you stay in this room? Avoid at all costs."
The Mansion - Kalamata Mediterranean Villas
Comfy Boutique Hotel
"We stayed here for 3 nights following some time in Athens just to rest and then pick up a car for our Peloponnese tour. Hotel is exceptional value for money. Our room although small had everything we needed, comfortable bed, air con, fridge, in room safe, TV and a furnished balcony with a good view towards the distant mountains. Bathroom was again compact however had a good shower, fluffy towels and expel air. The roof top pool area was a great. When we were there early June we were the only guests using it so it felt very private. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was fine, enough choices and fresh orange juice. Hotel is quite funky and modern. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Receptionist/breakfast server gets special praise due to her enthusiasm. English is spoken. There is parking next to the hotel Hotel is located on a busyish road however the double glazing means the room is quiet at night. Its about a 5 minute walk to the marina/beach area where there are many bars, cafes and restaurants. Its a 5 minute walk to a large super market and about 20/25 minutes walk into Kalamata old town which we found quite buzzy and great to spend an afternoon /evening wondering and eating/drinking. We enjoyed our stay here for its location, roof top pool and great staff and would without question stay here again."
