"First of all, it's very upsetting to have to leave this review for Merit Hotels, a place we've loved and frequented for years. Having stayed at all their hotels before, we are very angry about encountering such staff this time and leaving the hotel disappointed. Firstly, my wife and I had made a reservation months in advance for the weekend. I asked Ms. Sevinç at the reception if our room had a sea view, and she said yes. When we went up to the room, it overlooked a construction site. I called and said I didn't want that room and asked if it could be changed. She said okay, I'll arrange a sea view room for you, there's one available. We checked in at 12 and waited until 4 pm, and the gentleman at the reception shouted at us that there were no rooms available at the moment (we also complained about his tone to the assistant front desk manager). We didn't insist, we said you told us to wait, we hadn't even unpacked our suitcases, we were waiting for you. While all this was happening, Ms. Polen from customer relations watched silently, without any interest, apology, or even asking how we were doing when we ran into her at the hotel. If you leave the representation of the hotel to such people, it's very sad for Merit or Diamond. They called us at 12 o'clock to vacate the room, this was too much. We told Ms. Polen directly to her face; they have no idea how to satisfy customers. I will never come to Diamond again. The long-haired gentleman at the reception, Ms. Sevinç, and Ms. Polen, it's clear that Diamond won't be able to maintain customer satisfaction for long with employees like you. You can choose Diamond if you want to feel undervalued. But if you want to feel valued and have a happy holiday, I would only choose Merit Royal."
