The Sloop Inn ★★★

📍 Bantham, Kingsbridge

"Beautiful location. I think ownership must have changed, decor has been changed , not for the better. The room was good enough, sheets clean, towels etc. Very basic. I'm sorry to say that it was the cleanliness that let this place down. Behind the beds were thick with cobwebs, bathroom was very dirty. Last of all was the staff at breakfast very basic service, breakfast was good , service wasn't. Probably won't go again ( not to stay)."

"Came here for two nights stay as we had a birthday celebration in Kingsbridge. Very comfortable room and bed. The only thing they don’t do breakfast but they did cater for us for having cereal. Had the room cleaned for the next day and also topped up the biscuits and tea facilities. The bar closes at 9pm."

The Sloop Inn ★★★
"Good food. Somewhat marred by wait for drinks at the bar. Tattooed Barman had trouble dealing with several customers at once. Maybe down to inexperience."

The Globe Inn ★★★
"I cannot easily write one hundred characters about my experience I cannot understand how the food could be so poor, but we are all human and sometimes make mistakes I have my own favorite restaurants locally and I am afraid I am not very forgiving when I get a poor first time experience"

Glebe Farm B&B ★★★★
"Glebe Farm was the highlight of our family trip to the West Country! Hosts Tim & Sheila could not have been more welcoming, helpful, accomodating or professional. Advice about dining, local sights, safest driving routes et al was readily forthcoming, even before we arrived! The Shippen cottage was both cosy and extremely well appointed. Every possible need and more had been carefully considered and amply provided for. We particularly appreciated the outstanding quality of the bed, bed linen and towels and the chic shower room contributed to the feel of a swanky hotel, according to our 12 year old daughter! Delicious homemade bread and biscuits were yet another lovely touch. Thank you so much for having us to stay at gorgeous Glebe Farm! We hope to see you again! Very warmly recommended!"
