"We had booked through Arcor and traveled with our dog. First, an unfriendly gentleman informed us that dogs had to be registered. We had, of course, done this on the Arcor booking portal. Then we were sternly and relentlessly informed that dogs could not be walked during breakfast time from 6:30 a.m. onwards, as it would disturb guests having breakfast. The route out of the hotel leads past the tables, but at a sufficient distance. All the talking was to no avail, so I set my alarm for the following day to make sure we could walk the dog in time. If we hadn't been so exhausted, we would have looked for alternative accommodation. When we left, a very friendly lady was on duty who declared her colleague's ban to be completely untrue. She apologized and offered us a room for the return journey at a lower price. That was very nice, of course, but we will stay in a different hotel on the way home."

" We celebrated a birthday in the Hotel Krone in Kingswinter and were excited around! From the first moment we felt welcome – the atmosphere is stylish and cozy, the service is extraordinarily warm and attentive. Especially impressed we were the vegan food – every dish was prepared with much love, tastefully excellent and beautifully decorated. A real highlight! Also the night was perfect: the room was comfortable, quiet and tastefully furnished. I have rarely sleeped so well! This hotel has clearly deserved 5 stars. We definitely come back and can only recommend it warmly further! "

"Classic and beautiful hotel. Location on top of a hill so you have a beautiful view over the Rhine. Friendly staff, spacious room with every comfort and a good bed. Very extensive and delicious breakfast. The wellness treatment was also completely fine. The only downside perhaps: the hamman was closed and the 2 saunas were a bit too busy. Beautiful swimming pool and surroundings"

"Rooms are big and clean. Great lovation and walking options when the weather is good. Very good breakfast. Poor what is promoted as "Children's indoor adventure area". This is in fact just a small room with games for small kids and some books. Untidy and messy when we were there. A table football game without a ball (could not be found), A pool table and a darts game against payment"

"Nice hotel. The young lady from the reception was very friendly and provided me with all the information and restaurant recommendations for dinner. The single room was very clean and nicely designed. It was to the side street and was therefore pleasantly quiet. I deliberately chose for the vegan breakfast. But afterwards I have to say, as a Rhinesteig Wanderer, I need something hand-fast. There was a floor full of small delicacies. All was made by yourself and prepared with love, but just not the right for me. The price of something above €18 I think it is fair. That has done a lot of work. I would like to highlight the kindness of the entire staff. I felt very well."
