"Arrive and feel good. Service and cleanliness are top notch. The rooftop pool was always open for us. The suite was top notch and the view was breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner left nothing to be desired. Egg dishes were always fresh. The wine selection is excellent. The location right on the lake is sensational, and you can reach the great old town in 15 minutes on foot."

"In its favour, the hotel is extremely well situated, a couple of minutes from the train station and 3 minutes from the centre. It’s clean and modern. Part from that, nothing special. Rather unfriendly. Average breakfast. No kettle to make tea and coffee in the bedroom. Snacks and drinks in the minibar overpriced."

"The hotel was generally good, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, there were some inconveniences. There was no kettle or water boiler in the room, so I had to go down to the lobby every time I wanted coffee or tea. In the evening, the coffee machine area was closed, and I had to ask the reception to open it. Sometimes the staff were not available or were busy, which made it difficult. On one occasion, I had to leave the hotel and buy coffee from a nearby coffee shop. It would be much more convenient if there were kettles in the rooms or if the coffee machine were accessible at all times."

"Very romantic hotel situated along the border of the lake. A five minutes walk to the center of the town along the typical and beautiful villas from the beginning of the 20th century. Parking is free in front of the hotel. Very nice welcome and super friendly staff. Highly recommended. Do check out the local Italian restaurant next doors in the casino, very nice indeed also."

"We stayed in room 202 which was a family room. It consisted of the two singles pushed together for us (which we found was the norm across our travels in Germany) and the kids had a bunk bed in the adjacent room (which could have been separated by a curtain but we didn't bother). The room was a really good size and nicely furnished/decorated. The sofa is slightly grubby but that didn't bother me as overall the standard of cleanliness in the room and bathroom was excellent. It was a hot summer day and I was worried I'd be disturbed by having the windows open (as the room overlooked the pretty square the hotel is based in) but there was a fan supplied and so I aired the room during the day and shut the windows at night, popped my earplugs in and had the fan on low. I'm a light sleeper but had a very good night's sleep. Breakfast the next morning was fine. We did have a meal in the restaurant inside the hotel (on the first floor I think it was, you can also eat out in the square but I think it's a different menu). It was a 3-course set meal and very enjoyable. My partner is vegetarian but there were vegetarian choices. It was quiet the night we were there so only 3 or 4 other tables occupied. The waitress was pleasant and the wine by the glass surprisingly ok. Konstanz itself is beautiful and one of my favourite places out of 8 that we visited on our travels."

"Travelled to Dettingen/Konstanz for a friends wedding. The room was HOT but comfortable enough. Breakfast was reasonable with a cold buffet served in the morning, though not particularly cheap. There isn't a great deal of choice in the local area but for a small town the hotel was good."
