Room is large and well equipped. Housekeeping very efficient. Gym small and the guy on the front desk is awful and needs replacing. Breakfast great but only one coffee machine. Location good can walk to Plaza 66 for good restaurants. Worse thing at the hotel is smoking is allowed in All areas-so you eat and sleep in a fug of second hand carcinogens. Yuck Eric Zhang on front desk did not bother to greet me in any way, kept his head down and avoided eye contact 5stAr? Nope

The hotel is well located and allowed us to make our way within 10 mins to the Kunming train station. However we find the bed too firm for us. Didn't have breakfast at the restaurant but staff accommodated our request to pack some food for our trip early morning out of Kunming. Napping street and old Kunming old street are worth a visit. We had walked from Wen Lin street through the Jade lake to the old street. I highly recommend this walk, lovely!

We loved our stay at the hotel! Below a few reasons why we highly recommend it if you want to explore Kunming as a tourist: - The hotel was great, in the heart of Kunming (ideal if you want to explore the city and get around!) - Breakast was delicious and with lot of variety from which to choose -The staff at the reception has always been available and highly helpful to support us averyday, as we did not speak chinese. We were passing through Kunming on our way to other places in Yunnan. This was a fine, corporate hotel for a one night stay. It's centrally located, had a clean enough room, was comfortable, and we slept well. Honestly, we don't remember much about our experience there as we stayed at about six hotels after this one. It was the least memorable of the hotels we stayed at however I think this is the hotel's strength: a big, known quantity that has rooms that you could easily imagine if you closed your eyes and thought about it. One thing: the building was a bit old and it seemed every so slightly run down, but still, it was good for what it was.

The service in this hotel is good: the response time to requests and requires are short: they are trying to improve and to meet our needs: they tried to change rooms for us when we complained it was too hot in the room. They gave us free extension of checking out until 5pm as we needed it. It was really helpful for us. The air conditioning in this hotel is not working properly: for the 24 hours we stayed in the hotel, it was kept to 24 degrees, even though they have sent the technical to check it multiple times and agreed to switch rooms for us, it just didn’t work. Other rooms are also of this same temperature level. As mentioned in several other reviews, the air con in the entire hotel is not working properly. So people who has the expectation of being able to control the temp in the room by yourselves or having it cooler than 24 in hot days should reconsider their booking: the entire hotel including lobby and bars and restaurants are somewhere between 24-26 degrees. And no need to waste time to switch rooms as it’s all the same.

The concierge service is very good. They will take the initiative to pick up the luggage when you get off the car and deliver it to the room. The environment and service of the Chinese restaurant are also good, and the dishes taste great. Thanks to the sales beauty Catherine. She learned that it was my father's birthday and sent a birthday cake to the room. The restaurant department will also help heat up the food. The breakfast is also good, with a lot of choices! I will recommend it to friends and stay again!
